Why can't she answer basic questions?

You wouldn't think that a simple question like this -- "Who briefed the president about the baby formula shortage?" -- would be the subject of obfuscation and evasion and cover-up, but that's the " " " president " " " that's here to Restore Our Norms for ya.

Watch -- this is maddening. She just keeps speaking vaguely about him being "briefed through his regular channels" while refusing to say who briefed him, and when.

When was he briefed? At the time he was briefed in regular channels.

Who briefed him? The people who brief him in regular channels.

Is it that she just doesn't know?

If so, why doesn't she just say "I don't know, I'll get the answer for you"?

There's a very true saying: Smart people are smart enough to know it's okay to say "I don't know." Idiots don't know anything, and therefore are defensive about that, and so are always afraid to say "I don't know." Basically they don't know anything at all, so if they started admitting they didn't know, they'd never stop admitting it.

So you can tell a dumb person by their complete refusal to ever say "I don't know," even when they plainly do not know.

Or maybe she's doing what she's been told to do, and covering up. Maybe there is a sinister reason why we can't know who and when President Van Winkle was briefed.

Biden, meanwhile, admitted that CEOs told him that they understood that shutting down the Abbott plant would have a big impact on production -- but he himself didn't understand that.

The RNC wants to know why, if Biden was briefed in "early April," he was surprised to learn of the baby formula crisis in mid-May (May 13).

Karine Jean-Pierre also walked back another Joe Biden claim! He said he was briefed in "early April."

She says no -- he was briefed in late April.

She then walks back her walkback.

I wonder if her walkback was actually the more accurate telling of when they woke up Professor Bumbles from his Bidensleep.

No, she can't be blamed for the Biden Administration being a shitshow, generally, or for the fact that Biden himself is mentally deranged and is not informed of basic things because he naps 20 hours a day, like a kitten.

But on basic things she should know, like what Biden claimed yesterday, she just doesn't know.

Yesterday she had a heckuva time trying to say that while Treasury Secretary Janet Yellin admitted that she got it wrong on inflation, Biden and the White House had not gotten it wrong when they made the same false claims that Yellin did.

Someone has Failed to Position Her For Success, obviously.

She needs to be fired, obviously.

But can you fire someone who's a triply-protected Victim Pyramid Topper?

Earlier I said she made me miss Jen Psaki.
