The stupidity of the typical "Jewish" voter is well documented. Voting against self-interest is pretty much expected among many American "Jews." And those quotation marks are intentional. Jews who voted for Mamdani and AOC and the other rabid Jew-haters in NYC, and who plan to vote for Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed in Michigan, support people and policies that are antithetical to the very idea of Judaism!

When a Christian rejects his religion, does not follow its precepts, is openly antagonistic to those who follow Christ, we call him an atheist. When so-called Jews reject their religion, do not follow its precepts, are openly antagonistic to those who follow the Torah, we call them...Jews? Why? Because they have Jewish names and eat bagels and lox on Sunday mornings? I eat fish most Fridays...does that mean I am Catholic?

They are atheists who have replaced a real religion with the worship of progressivism, which is a pretty way of saying socialist, which is a pretty way of saying communist. Sure, many "progressives" are uncomfortable with some of the demands of communism, but they are certainly working toward it, even if they are just the useful idiots of the hard left.

And in America, that is the majority of the cohort! That is changing, as the Jews In Name Only (JINO) fade away via assimilation and not having children. The Modern Orthodox and Hasidic (or ultra-religious) populations are growing fast because they do have children, and they tend to vote Republican in national races.

But that doesn't explain this poll...

McLaughlin Poll Shows Jews Flipping Republican on Generic Ballot

Things are changing enough that CNN noted a drastic falloff of Jewish support for Democrats on the generic ballot in New York. Not that surprising since the New York Jewish vote tends to be some of the most traditional in the country. But the generic ballot usually trended Democrat because Democratic congressional candidates would try to appeal to Jews. We're now in the era of the actively antisemitic congressional candidate like Dariazila Avila Chevalier, who celebrated the Oct 7 attacks, Claire Valdez and their gruesome toady, Brad Lander. No surprise that Jewish support for the generic ballot is crashing.

But a McLaughlin poll claims that overall Jewish support has flipped on the generic ballot.

Here's some of the data from the McLaughlin poll:

Among the voters in our survey:

• Protestants, who account for 38% of likely voters, favor Republicans for Congress by 51% to 43%, an 8-point advantage.
  
• Catholics, representing 24% of likely voters, favor Republicans by just 48% to 46%, a narrow 2-point margin.
  
• Evangelical Christians, who make up 29% of likely voters and overlap with other Christian categories, support Republicans by 56% to 37%, a strong 19-point advantage.
  
• Jewish voters, representing 4% of likely voters, favor Republicans by a striking 64% to 33%, a potential major shift from historical voting patterns.

Do I buy that shift? I think the number of Jewish voters polled is too small to put too much weight on it. But the level of everyday antisemitism that has been normalized among leftists is mind-blowing. You don’t have to go far to see Goebbels degree rhetoric. It’s leaking into not just the internet, but social circles and everyday interactions. (This isn’t just limited to leftists, but Jews live in liberal areas and encounter liberals more than anyone else.) I think that there is a growing sea change. I suspect it’s not quite as extreme.

Rabid, open, obvious Jew-hatred might be the force that pushes American Jews to a more sane approach to their political support. It has been self-destructive for a century, and ignorant of reality; perhaps open discussion among the darlings of the left of American Judaism as intrinsically evil, and Israel as a illegitimate and dangerous country is finally being heard.

Color me skeptical (you would understand if you met some of my relatives!), but even a small shift is important.
