Nobody cares that Sydney Sweeney got naked. The issue is the implication that women's only value in sports is to be decoration for male consumption.

Also, body shaming a hypothetical woman while pretending to defend women's choices is a pretty spectacular way to miss the point.

Pointing out that a sports betting company is leaning on the same tired "hot woman = male attention" formula is not telling Sweeney what to do with her body.

You can support a woman's bodily autonomy and criticize how a corporation markets that body at the same time.

That post is me, a woman, advertising women's apparel to other women -- apparel literally marketed around women being hockey fans. My body isn't being used as a decorative prop to sell an unrelated product to men.

The fact that I've posted a bikini photo doesn't mean I forfeited the right to criticize how women are sexualized in sports marketing. If anything, dragging up a two-year-old photo of my body instead of addressing the argument is proving the point all over again.

Proving I'm a liar and a hypocrite is just proving her point that women are sexualized in sports marketing. Including of course her own sexualization of herself in sports marketing.
