Republican Wisconsin Gubernatorial Candidate Tom Tiffany Survives After Plane Loses Engine Power and Crash-Lands in River; Media Minimizes Event

He's a sitting congressman, too.

While returning home from the La Crosse County Lincoln Day Dinner tonight, the plane I was traveling in lost power as we approached the Wausau Downtown Airport. The pilot made an emergency water landing in Lake Wausau.

After landing, we called 911. As the plane began to submerge, we exited the aircraft and swam to a shallow area, where we waited until emergency responders reached us by boat.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the pilot, the Wausau Fire Department, and all of the first responders who came to our aid so quickly. They got us safely off the water and transported us to Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where we received excellent care. Thankfully, both the pilot and I sustained only minor injuries.

God was watching over us tonight, and I am incredibly grateful to be here in the hospital with my wife, Chris, by my side. An experience like this reminds you just how precious life is.

After the Butler assassination attempt, the left, including the vicious chaos-farmer media, downplayed Trump being shot by an assassin by pretending it was NBD to be hit in the ear with a bullet. They also invented conspiracy theories, never rebuked by Master of Conspiracies Jake Tapper, that he hadn't been hit at all and that it was either all fake or just a "harmless" ricochet.

And, of course, their fellow leftwing cultists urged and prayed for more skilled assassins to "finish the job."

A Wisconsin congressman just swam out of a sinking plane in the dark and the usual crowd will treat it like weather.

Tom Tiffany was heading home Saturday night from a Lincoln Day dinner when the Beechcraft lost power on approach to Wausau. Pilot Len Boltz, retired Air Force, had seconds. The plane hit Lake Wausau. They rode the fuselage until it started going under, then they swam 100 to 150 feet to water they could stand in. An airboat pulled them out about 15 minutes after the 911 call.

Tiffany needed 12 stitches over his right eye. Boltz needed four. Both walked away. Tiffany is 68, he is the GOP nominee for governor, and he said God was watching over them. He also said the campaign does not stop.

That is not a stunt. That is a man who spent the day shaking hands, got told to buckle up because they were going down, and still showed up the next morning with a bandage and a pulse. Precious life is not a slogan when you are treading water next to a sinking Bonanza.

Pray for both of them. Then remember how fast a normal night can flip. 🇺🇸

A "reporter" with the egregious communist rag the Journal-Sentinel helpfully pointed out that the plane crashed into water that was "only" 30 feet deep and as you know, all men are 30 feet tall so 30 feet of water presents no threat to them at all.
