X Safety Team: We Have Uncovered 200,000 Bots and Fake Accounts Created by Chinese Intelligence to Propagandize Against Data Farms

...so that China can win the AI race because the US just quit it.

The X Safety team conducted an investigation into suspected Chinese inauthentic accounts involved in influence operations:

We identified a bot farm of approximately 200,000 accounts. Within this farm, we found 200 accounts posting in a manner that could manipulate a legitimate debate about American AI and energy policy.

These posts contained claims that AI data centers are driving up household electricity prices and straining the grid. Others included AI-generated cartoons that depicted data-center operators enriching themselves at the public's expense.

We remain committed to maintaining an open and authentic platform where people debate topics of public interest. We take seriously any attempts to undermine the integrity of the global town square and suspend accounts that violate our Authenticity policy.

Done right this is an industry that won't just remake blue-collar workers lives, it will also remake communities that have been on their knees for 40 years.
Always be curious. Always be skeptical. If something does a 180 & politicians are suddenly demonizing it in a short period time you have to ask yourself why? As I said yesterday, there's always bad actors in everything we do. But an entire industry?
We have all seen this playbook before.

Yes, we saw Russia paying "environmental groups" in the US to block fracking so that the price of Russian crude would remain high. We never saw the left-wing media, so keen to discover connections between Trump and Russia, note that Democrats were embracing a RUSSIAN AGENT propaganda effort.

And of course, it's Democrats doing the bidding of the Chinese communist government, banning data farms and pushing legislation to limit them, but you will never -- NEVER -- see a single media story about Democrats being CHINESE AGENTS under the control of Xi.

Members of an immigrant business group that has spoken out against Mayor Zohran Mamdani's plans for government-owned supermarkets lately have been getting slapped with fines from the city's Sanitation Department -- and some say it looks like a case of retaliation.

Diana Larrazabal, who owns flower and gift shop Aroma D' Angel at 304 E. 116th St., said shops including hers in recent months have received a slew of citations from the New York City Department of Sanitation for garbage that isn't even theirs.

Her flower and gift shop was dinged with fines three times this year -- most recently for $350 in May. Many of her Spanish-speaking neighbors who are not bilingual lean on her to help them navigate the city's red tape, she said, adding that they also are forking over hundreds of dollars in fines.

"It's definitely more frequent," Larrazabal said at a Wednesday press conference held by the Multicultural Business Coalition -- which sued the mayor and the city on Monday over the city-owned supermarket strategy over fears it will pose unfair competition to their stores.

The coalition's chairman, Frank Garcia, says the fines ramped up about two weeks ago when the group began pounding the pavement to speak with local business owners to get support for its suit.

"When we started going door to door two weeks ago, that's when the fines started," Garcia told The Post, saying some have been served with penalties as stiff as $1,000. "The owners don't speak English."
