'Fireworks suck': Removed El-Sayed videos urged getting rid of the 4th of July tradition, raised replacing 2nd Amendment

Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed once asked his YouTube viewers whether Americans could "PLEASE" find another way to celebrate the Fourth of July, in a video promising four reasons "why fireworks suck."

The since-removed video from July 2024 included a chapter titled "Fireworks just aren't worth it: hear us out" and cited Detroit's post-fireworks air quality, the chemicals used in fireworks, their potential to trigger PTSD in veterans, and the risks they pose to children and pets.

The video is one of several examples of El-Sayed removing past online content as he seeks elected office. As CNN's KFile previously reported, he also deleted social media posts supporting the "defund the police" movement.

In other since-removed clips, El-Sayed argued that the southern border was not among Americans' five biggest concerns and lambasted Republicans for focusing on it. In another he floated replacing the Second Amendment's right to bear arms with a constitutional right to health care.

The YouTube videos, at least 100 of which appear to have been made private, are another example of how El-Sayed's years as a prolific podcaster, commentator and social-media user have left behind an extensive record -- some of it subsequently deleted -- that Republicans could use to portray him as both ideologically left-wing and culturally out of step with swing-state voters.

Many of the removed videos on YouTube, where El-Sayed at the time had more than 17,000 subscribers, are not publicly available anymore, but CNN reviewed transcripts archived before the videos were made private.

El-Sayed's fireworks video was briefly interrupted by a message noting that it was sponsored in part by the Marguerite Casey Foundation. In reading ads for the foundation on his "America Dissected" podcast, he highlighted what he called its "cutting-edge areas of scholarship," including "feminist prison abolition."

Prison abolition is a movement that seeks to reduce and ultimately replace prisons, jails, and other punitive systems with approaches intended to address the social conditions linked to harm, including investments in housing, healthcare, education, community-based safety, and restorative or transformative justice. Feminist prison abolitionists argue that incarceration and policing can fail to prevent gender-based violence and may disproportionately harm women and marginalized communities.

36 year old Marcos Iriarte-Valdez has been arrested for rape, hit and run, burglary, violating a restraining order and most anything else you can think of.

In April he was charged with two counts of felony first-degree burglary after multiple home invasion robberies. He pleaded not guilty and was released on bail with an ankle monitor.

Tuesday he gets arrested for violating the terms of his release. They take the ankle monitor off him while he's in custody. The very next day a judge orders him released once more on his own recognizance and refers him right back to monitoring. They don't even put a new monitor on him until Friday morning...after the murder.

There is no justice for victims in Gavin Newsom's lawless California.

Portland Police arrested an occupant of the infamous "Red House" last week following a home raid over reports that William Kinney III allegedly threatened to kill employees and contractors working on a project next door. Kinney, a 41-year-old convicted felon with an extensive criminal history, was booked into jail August 4 on charges including possession of a short-barreled rifle, five counts of felon in possession of a firearm, and three counts of being a felon in possession of body armor, records show.

The Red House was at the center of a violent Antifa-Black Lives Matter autonomous zone in 2020, where far-left demonstrators erected borders and barricades to prevent the eviction of the Kinneys, a black Indigenous family who had been squatting at the home.

During the home raid, authorities recovered a cache of weapons, including a KelTec 9mm rifle in the living room, and three rifles and a shotgun in the bedroom, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by The Oregonian. Additionally, police seized a stockpile of ammunition and three sets of body armor. Kinney is forbidden from possessing firearms and body armor as a convicted felon.

Records show Kinney was released from the Multnomah County Jail after posting a low $25,000 bail. He reportedly harassed and threatened to shoot contractors working on the nonprofit Self Enhancement Inc.'s property next to the home, which sparked the raid. Kinney reportedly made threats for several consecutive months and threw stones at contractors in July before threatening a drive-by shooting, per the affidavit.

Is there another trans cult?

A woman and two men who identify as trans have been charged in Cincinnati, Ohio in the brutal torture and murder of a young special-needs boy. A Ngo Comment investigation found that the group, which included at least three men who identify as trans, had groomed the child into trans ideology from a very young age and appeared to have plans to transition him before police found him unresponsive in a closet, bound with duct tape and showing signs of torture.

William Michael Evans-Ellis, 7, was recovered from an apartment in the Oakley neighborhood in Cincinnati on Aug. 6. He suffered injuries consistent with being choked and held underwater, beaten and burned. A detective testified in court that it was one of the most disturbing child abuse cases he had ever investigated.

The child was found with "a number of injuries that would indicate physical beatings, blunt force injuries," he said.

Kaitlin Elizabeth Evans, 38, who is charged, is the child's biological mother. The two other suspects are biological men who identify as women: "Kirby" Rankin (prior name: Nathan Rankin), 33, and "Nessa" Keaney (prior name: Adamhnán Judaydon Caoilte Lugh Keaney), 23. The three lived together as a polycule and "co-parented" the child to death.

They are charged with murder and child endangerment.

Liberal and legacy media have repeatedly reported that "three women" were charged. This follows a pattern of media outlets obscuring or omitting the trans identities of accused killers and convicted killers in an effort to protect transgenderism. The same pattern occurred in the news media coverage of the Zizian trans death cult.

The boy's biological father, "Tara Jane" Evans-Ellis, 38, who was not charged, also identifies as trans. He married Evans in 2011. His real name is Thomas John (T.J.) Ellis, but he legally changed it to "Tara" in December 2023.

He works as a software engineer in cybersecurity and identifies as autistic and antifa, similar to many of the Zizian members I've reported on. (There is no suggestion Ellis is linked to the Zizians.)

The couple had a second, trans-themed wedding for "Tara" and his wife in 2025. Their child was put in a dress at the ceremony, according to a source with knowledge.

An analysis of Ellis' social media record reveals a disturbing history of posts showing he was part of that group and that they were influencing the child to become trans.

Active on Mastodon, a Twitter-like social media platform popular with leftists, Ellis posted Antifa propaganda, radical queer activist material, said he was a DSA member and dabbled with the trans furry subculture--similar to Charlie Kirk assassin suspect's trans lover, Lance Twiggs.

On the other hand: A lot of "cops" hired for DEI reasons need to be shitcanned.
