The former premier of the Soviet Union once stated "I can prophecy that your grandchildren in America will live under socialism -- Our firm conviction is that sooner or later Capitalism will give way to Socialism. Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you."

And so here we are almost 70 years on and although the Soviet Union is also now the former Soviet Union, existing as it once did as Russia. regardless of the thuggery and corruption of its current leader Vladimir Putin, the question is, was Nikita Khrushchev right, or is the jury still out on his prediction.

Let's take a gander at a few things that might shed some light on the situation. First up, we have the Dairy State, to which I escaped from NYC merely 5 short years ago.

Well, it's nice to believe as some do that Mike Rogers will beat this fiend. But please remember that beyond the base, Michigan's elections are run by Governor Wretched Whitler and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson who were both, especially the latter, instrumental in the thievery that stole the state from Trump and gave it to Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants Biden in 2020 in the middle of the night in Wayne County where election observers were ejected, the windows covered and 18-wheelers full of ballots hauled in.

So, as we close out the week, let's try to end on a much happier note:

Ever since Donald Trump returned to the White House and especially since Trump’s Liberation Day tariff announcement, the economic press has reported that American manufacturing is struggling under President Trump’s tariffs. Even worse: stories have frequently claimed that manufacturing is struggling because of the tariffs. The Wall Street Journal declared manufacturing “in retreat.” The Associated Press said tariffs were “hurting American manufacturers instead of helping them.” Reuters reported that import duties had undercut manufacturing.
There’s just one problem: none of that is happening. If tariffs are hurting American manufacturing, someone forgot to tell the factories.

The Labor Department reported Thursday that manufacturing output rose at a 4.6 percent annual rate in the second quarter. Hours worked increased 2.6 percent. Productivity, which measures output per hour, rose 1.9 percent.

And on top of that, we have this bit of orgasmatronia!

President Donald Trump signed two executive orders Thursday that end birth tourism and expand the definition of who does not qualify for birthright citizenship. . . The first Executive Order non-exhaustively identifies certain categories of children of aliens who are not entitled to birthright citizenship consistent with historical exceptions to birthright citizenship recognized by the Supreme Court in Barbara. The second Executive Order delegates presidential authorities to the Secretary of State and Secretary of Homeland Security and directs them to halt the practice of birth tourism.

Well, I'm sure the lawsuits will start flying and the usual crackpot nutters will threaten SCOTUS justices and their families but who knows? If Roe v. Wade could be nixed, perhaps there's hope that the 14th Amendment could actually be read and upheld as written and intended. My concern isn't necessarily with the Leftists it's mostly the RINOs who will stab us in the back.

So we're in the mass grave or marching to it, but perhaps the first shovel-full of dirt has yet to be dropped on us?
