More misuse of cameras. Not Flock this time - somewhere even more deserving of privacy.

Ambulance Worker Sues After Being Fired for Disabling Cameras That Filmed Patients Without Consent

An EMT worker, who says she turned off cameras pointed at patients in the back of ambulances, has filed an $800,000 lawsuit – claiming she was fired for protecting the privacy of patients who were unaware they were being filmed.

Brittany Martin, a former emergency medical technician for Metro West — which provides ambulance services across Portland, Oregon — filed a wrongful termination lawsuit in Multnomah County Circuit Court against her previous employer last month.

According to emergency medical news outlet EMS1, Martin claims that the privately owned ambulance company began installing cameras in late 2025 or early 2026. However, patients were not informed that they were about to be video and audio recorded. Her lawsuit says she believed that these cameras in the patient compartments of ambulances violated Oregon law.

Absolutely ridiculous!

Here's something you don't see every day!

Watch a Monumental Iceberg in Greenland Do a Somersault

Greenland, the world’s largest island, is also covered in one of the earth’s two ice sheets. The other cloaks Antarctica. Greenland’s encompasses around 80 percent of the nation’s land mass, spanning more than 650,000 square miles.

On July 25, a mammoth iceberg literally made waves as it flipped over off the coast of Ilulissat, Greenland. A video taken from town went viral online, and AfarTV, which has a livestream camera set up near the entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ilulissat Icefjord, captured the event in high definition. “Large icebergs can remain grounded or trapped near the mouth of the icefjord while they melt, fracture and become small enough to move into Disko Bay,” AfarTV says. “It is not known precisely when this particular iceberg originally separated from the glacier.”

That's a REALLY old bridge!

The Oldest Bridge in the U.S. Was Built Before We Were a Country

doof-old-ass-bridge.jpg

The oldest bridge in the U.S. is the Frankford Avenue Bridge in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Built in 1697, it has remained in continuous use for more than three centuries, making it the oldest surviving roadway bridge in the United States.

Long before America became an independent country, this durable stone crossing helped people travel along one of the colonies' most important roads. Its remarkable longevity isn't just about age. The bridge continues to carry traffic today, connecting the past with the present while showing how thoughtful construction can stand the test of time.

More old-ass bridges listed at the link.

Good ol' boys know how to get stuff done!

Redneck engineering at its finest.

He hung a light with a weed eater head under it. At night the light attracts the bugs, the spinning string smacks them, and they fall straight into his trout pond below.

Free, high-protein fish food… and he just sits out there with a drink watching his trout feast.

Absolute genius (and a little chaotic).

Moron approved behavior!

A bar where wearing a helmet is a must. The popular menu item at My People Bar, located in Prague's Old Town in the Czech Republic, is the "Tank Cocktail Challenge." When you order it, you're made to wear a sturdy helmet, and before and after drinking an alcohol shot, the bartender hits you on the head with various blunt objects. It's said to get you thoroughly buzzed.
