Surprise! Universities continue discriminating against white and Asian applicants despite the Supreme Court being emphatic that this is illegal racial discrimination.

The Department of Justice has concluded that Duke University School of Law intentionally discriminated against applicants based on race, finding that the school continued giving admissions preferences to black and Hispanic applicants even after the Supreme Court struck down race-conscious college admissions.

The DOJ's Civil Rights Division announced Thursday that Duke Law violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in admissions for its incoming classes of 2023, 2024 and 2025. The department said the practices also violated the Supreme Court's 2023 ruling in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, which restricted universities' use of race in admissions.

In an Aug. 6 findings letter, the DOJ said investigators reviewed Duke Law's internal documents and admissions data and determined the school continued "intentionally" granting and denying admission based on race following the Supreme Court decision.

"Duke Law School doesn't get a free pass to discriminate against white and Asian students simply because it thinks it has good intentions," Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon said. "Using 'diversity' essay questions to identify preferred races for admission is still illegal discrimination based on race, and this Department is committed to eliminating it everywhere we find it, including in our nation's law schools."

A Christian physician assistant who was fired after refusing to facilitate transgender procedures and use preferred pronouns won a $410,000 settlement from her former employers.

In May 2021, Valerie Kloosterman was a physician assistant at the University of Michigan Health-West. The hospital required Kloosterman to complete a diversity training module on LGBTQ+ issues, the Daily Signal reported.

According to Kloosterman's lawsuit, the module required her affirm statements concerning sexual orientation and gender identity that went against her Christian faith, which says God ordains a person's sex. To go against that, whether it be through surgery or the use of preferred pronouns, she believes, is going against God's will.

The lawsuit also argues that her Hippocratic oath to "do no harm" prevents her from facilitating procedures she believes do more harm than good.

In July 2021, Kloosterman met with the hospital's DEI program director, who was hostile toward her beliefs, told her she couldn't bring her religious beliefs into the workplace, and called her "evil," according to the lawsuit. He also claimed that a failure to use preferred pronouns would drive patients to commit suicide. The hospital fired her the following August.

In addition to the monetary settlement, the hospital has implemented a new policy that won't require employees to act in ways that violate their religious beliefs.

Meanwhile: a transgender "professor" says that having a normal gender/sex "isn't real" and that non-gay sex is "unnatural."

University of Pennsylvania Professor Beans Velocci published a book this year claiming "sex isn't real" and the gender "binary" is "incoherent."

Velocci is an assistant professor in history and the sociology of science who claims to be nonbinary and transgender. This identification has shaped the professor's questions and conclusions because "that is how knowledge works," Velocci wrote in the book titled "Sex Isn't Real: The Invention of an Incoherent Binary."

In an interview with Duke University Press, which published the book, Velocci expressed joy that "any right wing or TERF detractor who wants to s***-talk the book is going to have to say or write the phrase 'Sex Isn't Real' in the process."

Velocci claims in the book that "cisness" is unnatural and that people fitting into their "assigned sex category" took a large amount of work to construct and maintain.

Sex science throughout the 19th and 20th centuries was a close ally to those invested in supporting white-supremacist governance and ejecting women from political life, Velocci claims.

"Science continues to be an anti-trans ally," the professor wrote, adding that sex has little to do with bodies, but is instead about categories and who controls them.

The professor also wrote that "current efforts to annihilate transness are couched in references to biology and science."

LOL. We're "couching" biology and science in "references to biology and science." How dare we.

Mother and her two trans pals arrested for murder of mentally handicapped 7-year-old boy.

Three people have been charged with the murder of a seven-year-old Ohio boy, with prosecutors saying that the young boy had suffered abuse at the hands of the defendants for months. Those arrested include the boy's mother as well as two trans-identified males.

Per WLWT5, Kaitlin Evans, 39, Nessa Keaney, 23, and Kirby Rankin, 33, were arraigned on charges of murder and child endangerment inside a Hamilton County courtroom Friday. Evans was identified as the mother of the boy, while Rankin and Keaney have been identified as being transgender.

A Portland, OR judge granted a "sweatheart deal" -- no jail time -- to a repeat antifa offender who admitted -- nay, boasted -- of punching and kicking cops and violently grabbing their genitals.

A violent Antifa-affiliated agitator has avoided jail time after admitting to assaulting several federal agents during a direct action outside the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland, Oregon. The incident occurred on June 29, 2025.

August Dean Gordon, 32, of Beaverton, physically assaulted numerous federal officers, admitting to "kicking" and "headbutting" agents when they arrested him for damaging ICE facility property. This includes violently grabbing their genitals, according to court documents.

US District Court Judge Amy Baggio sentenced Gordon in late July to four months of home detention followed by five years of probation. The prosecutor sought a four-month prison term, while the defense asked for one year of supervised release.

The judge declined prison time, citing that it would be counterproductive for Gordon's mental health, his lack of a prior criminal history, and the lifelong burden of a felony conviction, per the Oregonian.

Gordon, prosecutors continued, "boasted" about his "assaultive behavior," proudly declaring that he "kicked and headbutted officers," showing no "remorse" for his actions. US attorneys said that five officers were injured.

Convicted Killer Allegedly Shoots Man Dead Less Than 2 Hours After Release David Simpson, 29, is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder

A man already convicted of manslaughter allegedly shot and wounded one man and killed a second in Charlotte, North Carolina less than two hours after being released last week on bond.

FOX News reported that 29-year-old David Simpson now faces charges that include first-degree murder and "possession of a firearm by a felon." He is in custody and being held without bond.

WCNC noted that Simpson "was released from Mecklenburg County jail around 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday," then allegedly carried out the fatal shooting at 1:45 p.m.
The shooting occurred at an apartment complex and is believed to have resulted from an argument over a parking space.

Simpson's girlfriend, Shakema Scott, is charged "with accessory after the fact."
