One Third of All Democrats Now Identify As Socialists, While Only 39% of Country Would Consider Voting for a Socialist

Far-left CNN reports that "about a third of Democrats and Democratic-leaning adults identify as democratic socialists," per the latest polling.

This is a big problem for an increasingly radicalized Democrat Party that continues to move further and further to the left and far out of mainstream thinking on issues like abolishing prisons, abolishing the U.S. Senate, sexualizing and queering little kids, defunding the police, open borders, socialized medicine, annihilating Israel, and outright property confiscation.

The polling shows that 59 percent of these socialists are under age 45 and -- surprise, surprise -- predominantly white (57 percent). They are also less likely to have a college degree or make over $100,000 per year.

What should truly trouble the Democrat Party is how motivated these loons are to vote -- 66 percent are "extremely motivated to vote this year," compared to just 57 percent of non-socialist Democrats.

When these extremists win primaries, especially in purple states, that gives Republicans a real chance to prevail.

According to a new Washington-Post Ipsos poll, socialism is unpopular, outside of the communist "Democrat Party" itself.

Republicans and right-wing influencers are increasingly invoking "communism," often to criticize democratic socialists and the Democratic Party broadly, according to a Washington Post analysis. Americans split on this comparison in the Post-Ipsos poll, with 30 percent saying democratic socialism is similar to communism while 32 percent say it is different and 36 percent saying they are not sure.

Democratic socialism has clearly caught on with many Democrats, fueling questions about how that energy will affect upcoming elections, including the 2028 presidential race. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York), a DSA member, is viewed as a potential presidential candidate.

The Post-Ipsos poll indicates that 55 percent of Americans would not consider voting for a democratic socialist for president, while 39 percent would consider supporting one and 6 percent having no opinion. A majority of self-described independents, 54 percent, would also rule out a democratic socialist candidate.

A much smaller segment of Americans -- 15 percent -- say they like leaders who identify as democratic socialists, compared with 36 percent who dislike them and nearly half saying they neither like nor dislike democratic socialists, the poll shows.

About one-third of Democrats say they like democratic socialist candidates and 10 percent dislike them, but most have neither positive nor negative views of them. Republicans are more negative, with 7 in 10 disliking democratic socialists.
