Good morning kids. Early doctor's appointment for the wife this morning so off we go...

And as the details of the Iran ceasefire deal continue to dominate the headlines, the good bad and ugly, we have this item of some minor interest, eh?

A complaint from FBI task force officer Christopher Betts alleged that 19-year-old Tycen Proper of Knox County, Ohio, joined a group that wanted to unleash mass terror at the UFC event. The group wanted to target Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and other elected officials they said had compromised themselves by taking money from “pro-Israel PACs,” according to the complaint. 

In messages plotting the attack, the FBI alleges that Proper wrote, “I got a possible target Marsha Blackburn is senator for Tennessee” because “she’s taken money from the Israel pro Israel lobby and supports them.”

The suspects planned to use explosive drones to drive a crowd in the direction of snipers, according to investigators.

Betts said that Proper, whom local law enforcement arrested last week, “admitted to planning with others a coordinated attack against the United States government during the UFC event scheduled to take place.”

Other elected officials seen as targets were Senator Jim Justice, Senator Shelley Moore Capito, Rep. Carol Miller, and Rep. Riley Moore — all of whom hail from West Virginia — Betts said a review of a chat planning the attack revealed. 

With that I give you this entry, a well-written yet clueless essay, given everything going on in this country that continues to tear us apart even as we approach our 250th birthday.

Principles for a Centrist Realignment: The Grand Alliance: The path to national renewal begins when Americans unite around common sense instead of division, decline, and perpetual crisis.

That's just the headline and subhead which is enough to make my point, but here's a bit more to whet your appetite or make you puke:

First, most Americans don’t want to live in a divided nation, and they don’t want to live in a culture that has devolved to cater to society’s lowest, most abnormal, deviant, hedonistic, psychotic, sociopathic, dishonest, crooked, lazy, defiant, bizarre, militant cohorts of individuals, regardless of the fact they’ve become politically organized and demand equality of outcome in every imaginable context. Most Americans understand the inherent necessity and benefits of nuclear families, hard work, and immutable standards for achievement and recognition.

Second, America’s culture of common sense and unity is threatened by a fractious coalition of fanatics and lunatics who are relatively small in number and who harbor an innate antipathy toward each other that is only held in check by rivers of money flowing to them from globalist billionaires, opportunistic corporations, environmentalist pressure groups, and government unions. Their resources are money and anger. . .

Where to even begin. If any of this were true, then California would not be Zimbabwe on the Pacific instead of what it once was; the world's sixth largest economy and where many once flocked to make their American dream become real. We as a nation and people are more divided than at any time in our history, perhaps even more than 1860. Because as fundamentally serious as the issue of slavery was, we are now divided by the perverse notion that our nation and society as founded is illegitimate and that those who support it and desire its restoration are an evil to be eradicated by any and every means necessary, as the foiled plot against the UFC event at the white House, and every other attack and assassination attempt has demonstrated to all but the blind deaf and dumb.

So, just like the moderates of Islam, where are the so-called "moderates" of the Democrat/Left in the wake of the aforementioned as well as all of the attacks on our values, institutions and even ourselves, be it the President, Laken Riley or the United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, Ashli Babbitt, Roseanne Boyland, and Austin Metcalf whose grave is being urinated upon to the cheering of those we are supposed to make peace with?
