Enraged by Divorce Filing, Man Tears Down Family Home with an Excavator

A Pennsylvania man was so outraged by his wife's divorce filing that he got into an excavator and started tearing their house down with his spouse and two daughters still in it.

When 48-year-old Eric Pierwsza’s wife told him that their marriage was over and she had filed for divorce, she didn’t exactly expect a positive reaction, but she also didn’t expect him to literally bring down the house! However, after a night of drinking, the man did just that, using a construction excavator to partially demolish his own property.

Divorces can get messy, but you don’t often hear about people destroying their own houses just because their marriage fell apart. However, one marital dispute in Butler County, Pennsylvania, got so out of hand that the husband used an excavator to partially demolish his own house after hearing that his wife wanted to divorce him.

This British singer, songwriter, and keyboardist from Sheffield has one of the most remarkable careers in classic rock history — not because of his own fame, but because of whose band he was in at any given moment.

He fronted a band in the mid-1970s and wrote and sang their only major hit, which reached #3 on the US charts. He then joined a well-known British new wave band, singing lead on their most beloved song. He later became the voice of a side project formed by a Genesis guitarist, singing the group’s biggest hit which reached #1 in the US in 1989. He also co-wrote a song recorded by the Eagles on their 2007 comeback album.

Despite lending his voice to some of the most recognizable songs of three decades, most fans couldn’t pick him out of a lineup.
