Katy Tur: When Speaker Mike Johnson Said That God Imbues People With Inalienable Rights, Was He Attempting to "Put God Over the Declaration of Independence"?
Katy Tur is a moderately pretty girl with a nice rack.
That is the only reason she is on TV "news."
Keith Olbermann used to sleep with her and claimed that she was so stupid that he had to rewrite all of "her" news articles for her, because they were poorly written and pointless. Typical case of an old bent gangly dweeb having to do the hot girl's homework for her.
But I do imagine that he's telling the truth about this one thing.
Katy Tur heard Speaker Johnson refer to the opening lines of the Declaration of Independence -- the lines that say that men are imbued with inalienable rights by their "Creator," rights which cannot be set aside by the government because they do not originate with the government, but with God himself -- and is so uneducated and so stupid that she thought Johnson was inserting that language into the Declaration of Independence himself, and thereby attempting to inject This God Person into the atheistic document.
Unbelievable. Except it is believable.
John Sexton:
I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise given that this was broadcast on MSNOW, but somehow it still surprises me. Katy Tur was asking her panel of guests about something that Speaker Mike Johnson had said Sunday at the "Rededicate 250" rally on the mall in Washington, DC.
I watched Mike Johnson's prayer in front of the crowd and this is the line that Tur is reacting to:
Those voices have seeked to distort the self-evident truth that we know so well, that our founders boldly proclaimed in the Declaration: That our rights do not derive from the government. They come from you, our creator and heavenly father.
Here's Tur's reaction when bringing it up on MSNOW to her panel of guests.
What about this passage from Mike Johnson declaring that our rights do not derive from government? They come from you, our creator and heavenly father. Is this him putting God over the Declaration of Independence?
This is not some arcane political trivia, obviously. These are among the most-quoted lines in human political history. "When in the course of human events..." is routinely quoted by sixth graders.
Katie Tur is entirely unqualified for this job or any other job that isn't centered on an OnlyFans account. She got the gig by fucking Keith Olbermann, and only kept it because 10% of MSNOW's audience consists of angry lesbians and even a smattering of effeminate yet straight men who wonder what she looks like naked.
