"Big Tish" James, AG and Celebrated Mortage Fraudster, Orders NY Hospital to Resume Transitioning Children After It Quits the Grisly Business

This will result in the hospital losing federal funding.

Big Tish doesn't have any way to make up for that funding, nor did she promise that NY would set up a special fund to replace the federal funds.

She just wants the hospital to cut off children's breasts and dicks and suck up the funding shortfall. Maybe she'll give them tips on how to defraud the mortgage system to raise some cash.

New York Attorney General Letitia James ordered NYU Langone, one of the Big Apple's largest hospitals, to reinstate gender-affirming care for minors -- before ominously warning it would face "further action" if it did not comply.

In a letter sent to the health care system on Feb. 25, the Empire State's chief lawyer claimed the absence of the Transgender Youth Health Program was "jeopardizing" health care access to vulnerable New Yorkers.

"NYU Langone appears to be suddenly and indefinitely cancelling transgender children's future appointments thereby jeopardizing access to medically necessary healthcare for some of the most vulnerable New Yorkers," the letter read.

The medical center "permanently" axed the program in February after the Trump administration threatened to yank federal funding to the hospital if it continued providing gender-affirming care.

"Given the recent departure of our medical director, coupled with the current regulatory environment, we made the difficult decision to discontinue our Transgender Youth Health Program," a NYU Langone spokesman told The Post in February.

"We are committed to helping patients in our care manage this change. This does not impact our pediatric mental health care programs, which will continue."

James claimed that NYU Langone's decision violated New York's anti-discrimination laws after the hospital voluntarily made the change instead of being forced by any law.

"NYU Langone's change in policy is self-imposed; there has been no change in federal law to require the cessation of medically necessary transgender healthcare," the letter added.

NYU Langone was one of several high-profile hospitals to pause its gender-affirming care for youth after President Trump threatened to remove federal funding from medical centers treating trans minors late last year.

After dissolving the program, NYU Langone's website changed the "Trangender Youth Health Program" to the current "Gender & Sexuality Service.

Jonathan Turley calls this an assertion of authoritarian and insurrectionary state power against the federal government.

James's move could trigger a fascinating challenge. In the Feb. 25 letter signed by the attorney general's health care bureau chief, Darsana Srinivasan, the state said that the federal regulatory change did not affect a "medical institution's existing duties and obligations under New York law." That raises an interesting conflict between state and federal regulations.

The letter gives the hospital until March 11 to comply and resume these treatments.

Effectively, James is ordering the hospital to defy the federal government. However, the hospital, not James or the state, would bear the financial and regulatory consequences.

The problem with a federal challenge is that nothing in the New York threat prevents the federal government from carrying out its intent to cut off funding. Hospitals would have to choose between penalties in New York or loss of funding in Washington. Nevertheless, New York's move is a direct attack on the enforcement of federal policy by state hospitals.

If states are now free to ignore federal law, then I have a long list of federal laws states should nullify.

Beginning with the Warren Court judge-made law that states are compelled to spend citizen taxpayer dollars on the care, education, and welfare of illegal alien children illegally present in the state.

But I wouldn't stop there. Not even close.
