Vance blasts Omar, Tlaib for 'talking loudly' at State of Union: 'nails on a chalkboard'

Vice President JD Vance blasted Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib for "talking loudly the entire time" during President Trump's Tuesday night State of the Union speech -- saying he had to restrain himself as he sat over the president's shoulder in the House chamber.

Omar (D-Minn.) and Tlaib (D-Mich.) heckled Trump throughout his annual address -- with Omar shouting her opposition to his mass-deportation drive in Minneapolis and Tlaib at one point turning to Omar and appearing to say "KKK! KKK! as other attendees chanted "USA! USA!"

"They're sitting next to each other, and they're talking loudly the entire time," Vance said during a stump speech in Wisconsin urging voters to re-elect incumbent Republican Rep. Derrick Van Orden.

"It's just nails on a chalkboard. They're talking. They're interrupting. The president was completely unfazed by it," Vance said.

He also faulted the Queen of Government Graft Nancy Pelosi for not standing up to applaud Trump's call for the outlawing of insider trading by Congressmembers. You'd think that would be an obvious slam-dunk, but no, congresspeople love their graft and insider trading.

"My hope for all of you is that you find somebody who loves you as much as Nancy Pelosi loves insider trading, because then you will have a very good life indeed," Vance said.

Even Democrats are "uncomfortable" with Ilhan "Omar" Nur's and Rashida Tlaib's third-world behavior.

Washington Examiner investigations editor Sarah Bedford said there is frustration within the Democratic Party over the "unhinged way" some members protested Tuesday's State of the Union.

President Donald Trump called out Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) on Wednesday for their heckling during his speech, suggesting they "should either be institutionalized or deported." Following this annual speech, Bedford said there is "discomfort" within Democratic circles over how some members appeared as Trump spoke at the Capitol.

"That's not something the Democratic congressional leadership wanted to see from their members, there was a sort of admonition from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries [D-NY] for just everyone to cool it, don't make us look dumb, and it feeds into the narrative that Donald Trump has about congressional Democrats when he stood there at the podium and called them crazy and said they're impossible to work with and they're irrational," Bedford said on the Hugh Hewitt Show, guest-hosted by Kurt Schlichter.

"Then in some ways, a few of them sort of proved Donald Trump right by screaming at him and refusing to stand for the notion that the government should support American citizens over illegal immigrants," Bedford said. "They sort of played right into Donald Trump's trap, so optically, it wasn't a very good night for Democrats."

In case you were unsure, a black female Democrat politician confirms that even asking Democrats to stand to show their support of American citizens is, in fact, racist.

Rep. Janelle Bynum (D., Ore.) described President Donald Trump's request that lawmakers stand if they believe the first duty of government is to protect American citizens as "racist" and said the moment made her "uncomfortable."

When asked what she thought about Trump's question, Bynum said, "I think you can agree with the 'what,' like standing up for American citizens. But I disagreed with the 'how.'"

"There's thinly veiled racist language, anti-immigrant language in what he was asking and that was uncomfortable," she continued.

Bynum wasn't the only Democrat to slam Trump's address. Rep. Robin Kelly (D., Ill.) made light of Trump's presentation of military awards, including the Medal of Honor, to veterans during his address. "It was like an award show, 'You get a medal! You get a medal! You get a medal!'"

Trump honored five military members with awards for their service, including two Medals of Honor. Army chief warrant officer Eric Slover, who was wounded as a helicopter pilot in the raid to capture Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, received the nation's highest award for valor in action. So did 100-year-old retired Navy Capt. Royce Williams, who Trump said had a "legendary dogfight" with seven Soviet pilots during the Korean War. Trump also gave out two Purple Hearts and one Legion of Merit award.

And a GOP-aligned group is already running video of the Democrats' disgraceful third-world conduct in campaign ads.

The television ad marks the GOP's first effort to use the moment to build momentum for Republicans campaigning across the country ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The 30-second video is set to play all year nationally as part of a seven-figure ad campaign focused on immigration, according to Politico. It will particularly target key states Michigan, North Carolina, and Georgia, where Republicans are defending vulnerable incumbents, and eying possible pickup opportunities to hold on to their narrow majority in the House and Senate.

"Democrats are for illegal immigrant criminals. Republicans are for you," the ad states.

The quote plays off a successful ad strategy during the 2024 election, when Republican Political Action Committees commissioned an ad that read "Kamala is for they/them. President Trump is for you."
