James Van Der Beek's co-stars flood social media with heartbreaking tributes following his death at 48

Tributes are pouring in for "Dawson's Creek" star James Van Der Beek after his death Wednesday, Feb. 11, after a long battle with Stage 3 colorectal cancer. He was 48.

Busy Philipps, his "Dawson’s Creek" co-star, shared a few behind-the-scenes photos from the making of the hit show on her Instagram in tribute to the actor, writing, "My heart is deeply hurting for all of us today."

"Every person who knew James and loved him, anyone who loved his work or had the pleasure of meeting him, all of his dear friends and community that surrounded him as he battled this illness, especially his parents and brother and sister," she wrote.

I don't now much abut James Van Der Beek. I watched Dawson's Creek back in the day and saw Varsity Blues. Seemed like a decent guy, but what do I know. I do know 48 is way too young.

Just like 47 is too young - (see sidebar entry about former COB John Ekdahl).

Liberals can't help but be offended. It's part of their identity. They also have little ability to appreciate humor. Real humor - not "safe" humor that adheres to their ever changing rules of wokeness. So why would a liberal set foot in a comedy club? It didn't work out well for one of them. Kudos to the comedienne for pushing back.

Florida Man In Training!

2 arrested after bringing 14-year-old to Florida gentleman’s club, deputies say

Two people were arrested after they brought a 14-year-old to a gentleman’s club in Jacksonville and provided the teenager with alcohol, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office said its special assault unit detectives launched an investigation after they received a video on social media of the teenager inside of a gentleman’s club on Beach Boulevard.

After a 7-month investigation, detectives determined that a man, Ricky Clark, 36, brought the 14-year-old to the club in April of 2025 without the teenager’s parents’ knowledge.

Be honest - how many of you morons wish you had a Ricky Clark in your life when you were 14?
