Trump Says He'll End All Federal Payments to Sanctuary Cities
Until a Lowly District Judge once again asserts her authority of Supreme Overlord of the United States.
President Donald Trump announced Tuesday during a speech in Detroit that his administration will cease federal payments to sanctuary cities and states starting next month amid pushback over his immigration policies.
...
Trump made the declaration during a speech at the Detroit Economic Club, where he also claimed that the United States is at the beginning of an economic boom under his administration.
"Starting Feb. 1, we're not making any payments to sanctuary cities or states having sanctuary cities because they do everything possible to protect criminals at the expense of American citizens," Trump said. "And it breeds fraud and crime and all the other problems that come. So we're not making any payment to anybody that supports sanctuary."
He also said he'd denaturalize foreign-born criminals.
Trump is also calling for Kash Patel to fire all of the seditious FBI agents involved in the "Arctic Frost" prosecutions of Republicans for the crime of opposing the Democrat Party.
President Trump is publicly demanding a housecleaning at the FBI, calling on Director Kash Patel to remove agents after reacting to a Just the News report detailing how a former senior bureau official helped push the Arctic Frost investigation targeting Trump, Republican organizations, and elected conservatives.
In a Truth Social post responding to the article, Trump accused FBI personnel involved in the probe of abusing their authority and urged Patel to act immediately, framing the episode as another example of federal law enforcement being turned against political opponents under prior Democrat leadership.
The Just the News report summarizes congressional materials and internal FBI communications related to Arctic Frost, an inquiry that began as a January 6--related investigation but later expanded well beyond the Capitol riot. According to the documents, the probe ultimately placed Trump himself -- along with major conservative groups and GOP officeholders -- under scrutiny, even as agents acknowledged internally that there was no direct evidence tying Trump to criminal conduct.
Records released by Chuck Grassley identify then--FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Timothy Thibault as a key figure in driving that expansion. Internal emails show Thibault circulating left-leaning media articles, opinion pieces, and podcasts to colleagues as justification for escalating the probe, while privately conceding the evidentiary basis involving Trump was weak.
...
Emails reviewed by lawmakers show Thibault pressing colleagues to include "DJT" in Arctic Frost's launch paperwork and encouraging the use of open-source material and human intelligence to justify the probe after the fact.
...
The scope of Arctic Frost extended beyond Trump. Congressional materials cited in the reporting show the probe widened to include major conservative institutions, including the Republican National Committee, the Republican Attorneys General Association, and Turning Point USA, founded by Charlie Kirk.
Patel has since confirmed that his internal review uncovered extensive surveillance and data collection involving elected officials -- eight Republican senators and one congressman -- with records stored in a restricted FBI cyber vault requiring top-level authorization. Patel testified that he located the materials, terminated agents involved, and dismantled CR-15, the Washington Field Office's public corruption unit, which he described as the center of politically motivated misconduct within the bureau.
