As more information is revealed about the terrorists, the police have confirmed that Naveed was known to the Australian security services for his connections to ISIS, but they did not believe he posed an immediate threat. Reports indicate he and his father were radicalized at their mosque, the Al-Murad Islamic center in Sydney. The police also found explosives in their vehicle and an ISIS flag.

Australia confiscated most civilian guns decades back, and continues to have among the most restrictive gun control laws in the world, but of course it allowed the ISIS-connected Pakistani immigrant Cultural Enrichers to own six guns legally.
