« Leaked Emails: Epstein Despised Trump (But Had Warm Relations With Democrats!) | Main | Zohran Mamdani Declares NYC a City of "International Law," Not American Law »
November 18, 2025

House Votes 427 to 1 to Release Full Epstein Files

Near-unanimous.

The lone "no" vote was cast by Rep. Clay Higgins, who objected to the trashing of grand jury secrecy and worried about many people named in the files being exposed to unfair publicity. Remember, this is all the unvetted, unverified stuff -- anyone can make any accusation and get it jotted down in a government record.

I guess this case is now a matter of such intense public interest that such concerns don't matter.

Now it goes to the Senate:

🚨 BREAKING -- IT'S OFFICIAL: The Epstein Files Transparency Act has PASSED the House of Representatives, 427-1

The sole NO vote was Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA), but it's unclear why.

The bill, which is on the floor due to @RepThomasMassie and @RoKhanna's discharge petition, would force the release of the Epstein files

It now heads to the Senate, where it's expected to receive pushback, and even possibly be amended.

I think this will wash out as a net negative for Republicans, because the media will continue ignoring the actual Democrats associating with the convicted pedophile while continuing to insinuate this is a Republican scandal.

Despite the fact that if there were Republican names in those files -- especially Trump's -- Obama's and Biden's Angry Democrat DOJ lawyers would have leaked them starting in 2015 and would have kept re-leaking them through this past election.

The dog that didn't bark is the telling clue.

Leaked emails already show a Democrat group begging for donations for... current Democrat minority leader Hakeem Jeffries, pimping him as "Brooklyn's Barack."

This broke two days ago. Heard about it from George Sloppadopoulos yet?

Speaking of Hakeem Jeffries -- he now has a primary challenger from a Mamdani ally.

A Brooklyn city councilman known for his ties to progressive movements has formally launched a campaign committee to challenge House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries in the 2026 Democrat primary, mounting a rare intraparty bid against one of the highest-ranking Democrats in Congress.

On Monday, November 17, the Federal Election Commission received a new Statement of Organization for a campaign committee titled "Chi Osse for Congress." The filing confirms that Chi Ossé, a 27-year-old Brooklyn councilman, intends to run in New York's 8th Congressional District. Ossé, who became the youngest member of the City Council when he was elected in 2021, recently rejoined the Democratic Socialists of America.

The seat is currently held by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who has represented the district since 2013.

Ossé -- who identifies as openly queer -- has reportedly told political allies that he plans to run during the 2026 midterms. He told the New York Times that he had been "hearing a lot of concern about Democratic Party leadership," and said:

It's a big part of why I worked so hard to get Zohran elected and defeat the establishment's champion, Andrew Cuomo.

His decision comes despite the objections of New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, who has privately discouraged Ossé from running, with sources saying he fears it could disrupt the fragile peace between the far-left and moderates as he works to advance his agenda, according to Axios, the New York Times, and the New York Post. The disagreement between the two allies reportedly led to Ossé being excluded from Mamdani's election night celebrations.

Of course he's "openly queer." Because queers are so marginalized, of course he'd take every opportunity to advertise that.

Meanwhile, Hakeem Jeffries admits that Obamacare is a disaster. He says this in claiming Republicans want to make it worse, but... wasn't this sold to us as the ultimate fix for health care?

Update: One reporter actually asked Hakeem Jeffries about Stacey Plaskett and Jeffrey Epstein. "Brooklyn's Barack" did not answer.
