Seems almost unreal, but people are saying this is real photo taken as part of a series of photos just last night.

Looks like an original series Star Trek set-- where they had a few (foam) rocks in foreground and then the background was red light over some kind of shim or cyclotron wall or something.

Anyone from Colorado Springs? Can you confirm?

Photos from last year show that the Northern Lights do light up the area with a pink light.

European starlings are great mimics. Almost as good as the black guy in Police Academy. (Whose name I just realize I know, for some reason-- Michael Winslow. I wonder what important bit of knowledge my brain deleted to hard-code that.)
