Tuesday Morning Rant (11/04/25) Bare Bones Edition

I'll be honest with you Morons. The biggest Rant I have is with the USPS. And I really can't get into it anymore here on the World Wide Web without serious repercussions.

The Preamble of our US Constitution states:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

When the authors drafted this magnificent document they attempted to conceive of every possible dilemma which a representative republic could face. The creation of three branches of government was brilliant. Checks and balances with justice and domestic tranquility as the ultimate goal.

I've written it here and discussed it on a Cut Jib Newsletter pod cast. The US is too big to survive. And the following is just one reason of hundreds perhaps thousands.

Although I am not a gambling man. I would wager $100 that the authors would have never guessed that state governments would sue the federal government when federal dollars are involved for federal programs.

States sue USDA over efforts to gather food stamp data on tens of millions of people

A coalition of 21 states and Washington, D.C. filed a lawsuit Monday against the U.S. Department of Agriculture after the federal agency told states to turn over the detailed, personal information of food assistance applicants and their household members.

The USDA has told states they have until July 30 to turn over data about all applicants to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, over the last five years, including names, Social Security numbers, birth dates and addresses. Last week, the agency broadened the scope of information it is collecting to include other data points, including immigration status and information about household members.

The Federal government should have every right to see who is receiving any type of aid. The Judicial Branch should have tossed the suit immediately with the fancy term for "Go pound sand".

If California wants to take over funding from Uncle Sam to pay for their pipe dreams, fine.

Food stamps SNAP was designed as a part of the safety net for needy Americans. It was not designed to be a magnet for illegal aliens who by definition are here illegally.

Federal funding for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) nutrition program and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also called food stamps, runs out on Saturday due to the government shutdown. The funding cut-off will hit illegal immigrants hard. The Center’s 2023 analysis of government survey data shows households headed by illegal immigrants make extensive use of the welfare system, particularly food assistance programs.

Among our prior findings:

Of households headed by illegal immigrants, CIS estimated that 59 percent use one or more welfare programs — cash, food assistance, Medicaid, or housing.
Illegal immigrant households have especially high use of food programs, with 48 percent enrolled in one or more of these programs — SNAP, WIC, or school lunch/breakfast.
In particular, our analysis found that 17 percent of illegal immigrant households used SNAP.

It's not a matter of If. But a matter of When.
