Maine Kampf: Bernie Sanders Doubles Down on Nazi Endorsement as Nazi's Former Campaign Manger Spills the Beans: Of Course He Knew It Was an SS Symbol

"Maine Kampf," the fake Blue Collar candidate who has given guerilla shooting training to an antifa-related socialist revolutionary group and who has freely called himself a "communist" and bragged that he was an "Antifa Supersoldier," claims that he just randomly chose the Waffen Totenkopf (Death's Head) tattoo out of a book of designs at a tattoo parlor and never had any suspicion it might be a symbol worn by SS guards at concentration camps.

That's a lie, says a former acquaintance. He literally referred to it as "Mein Totenkopf."

according to a person who socialized with Platner when he was living in Washington, D.C., more than a decade ago, Platner had specifically acknowledged that the tattoo was a Totenkopf, the "death's head" symbol adopted by an infamous Nazi SS unit that guarded concentration camps in World War II.

"He said, 'Oh, this is my Totenkopf,'" the former acquaintance told Jewish Insider recently, speaking on the condition of anonymity to address a sensitive issue. "He said it in a cutesy little way."

The exchange occurred in 2012 at Tune Inn, a popular dive on Capitol Hill where Platner later worked as a bartender and was a frequent patron while he attended The George Washington University on the G.I. bill, according to the former acquaintance. He would often take his shirt off drinking with friends late at night at the bar, and on at least one occasion had stated he knew what the tattoo represented, the former acquaintance recalled.

Platner gave varying accounts of the image during this time, saying at one point he was aware it was a Totenkopf when he had first gotten the tattoo several years prior and at another time claiming he had not known, according to the former acquaintance.

The mixed accounts indicate that Platner has at least long been aware of the symbols's connection to Nazism, even as he said in the podcast interview he was not familiar with any such association when he chose to get the tattoo.

His former campaign manager -- I think she quit last week when his Reddit postings declaring himself to be a communist who hated America were leaked -- says of course he's an antisemite and, being a "history buff," he would know exactly which soldiers wore the Totenkopf.

"Graham has an anti-Semitic tattoo on his chest. He's not an idiot, he's a military history buff. Maybe he didn't know it when he got it, but he got it years ago and he should have had it covered up because he knows damn well what it means."

And indeed he has now covered it up, after wearing it proudly on his flabby moob for twenty years.

He covered up the Totenkopf with... a wolf, and that's just great, because wolves totally aren't animals favored by Nazis and Aryan race theorists or anything.

As you probably know, Platner was picked out of obscurity and endorsed by socialist/communist Bernie Sanders -- "You had me at I'm a communist" -- and Bernie is doubling down in supporting the communist Nazi. Bernie shrugs off the Totenkopf and says that this was just a "dark period" in Platner's life.

You know who else had a "dark period" in his life, right?

Why it matters: Platner's campaign has been in turmoil over the past week after reports of years old posts on Reddit that included disparaging comments about rural white people, Black diners, and police officers.

What they're saying: Sanders, who rallied with Platner last month in Maine, said he still thought Platner was the best candidate to win.

Citing Platner's deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, Sanders said Platner "went into a dark period in his life. I suspect that Graham Platner is not the only American to have gone through a dark period."

Hitler had a dark period. No one ever cuts Hitler any slack for failing out of the landscape painting scene.

He added: "What he did was he expressed his darkness on the internet. Probably not a brilliant thing to do, alright? And he said things that are stupid, things that were hurtful. He has apologized for them."

"I think what we have got to do as a nation is not focus on a tattoo," Sanders said. "We've got to focus on a system which in many ways is collapsing."

Who's behind the oppo dumps? Probably Chuck Schumer, who supports the establishment Democrat that Herr Totenkopf is trying to beat to be the nominee.

The intrigue: Sanders said he didn't know whether Schumer and his allies were behind the recent batch of stories about Platner.

Schumer publicly announced his preference for Mills on Tuesday, telling reporters that the 77-year-old governor is the "best candidate to retire Susan Collins."

Platner is being celebrated as a hardscrabble blue-collar guy.

You will not be shocked to learn that this is another dirty filthy stinking communist lie.

In fact, this rich bitch Nepo Baby attended the $75,000 per year prep school Hotchkiss, a school so elite that even a lower-class kid like me has heard of it.

I know like three prep schools: Deerfield Academy, Lawrenceville Prep, and Hotchkiss. I know I've heard of a couple more but I can't recall their names off the top of my head. (I'll know them when you post them in the comments.)

I do not know the lesser elite prep schools. Just the big ones.

Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner, the self-described "working class Mainer," attended an elite boarding school in Connecticut that costs upwards of $75,000 a year. Its alumni include Supreme Court justice Potter Stewart, former CIA director Porter Goss, Clinton family crony Strobe Talbott, MacKenzie Scott Bezos, and the veteran news anchor Chris Wallace.

"Graham Platner is enrolled as a first-year student at the Hotchkiss School, located in Lakeville, Conn.," a Maine newspaper, the Ellsworth American, reported in November 1999. "Platner is familiar to many through his role as the Artful Dodger in 'Oliver' and as a 20th Maine Civil War Re-Enactor." The Hotchkiss School is located roughly 60 miles from Yale University in northwestern Connecticut.

Platner has discussed his days as a Civil War reenactor: The New Yorker reported his mother "hired a local seamstress to sew a Union uniform for him to wear to Civil War reenactments."

The revelation undercuts the working-class image Platner has attempted to present on the campaign trail. The left-wing candidate, who once described himself as a communist, described himself in his campaign launch video as a "working class Mainer who's seen this state become unlivable for working people."

Platner does not appear to have lasted long at the Hotchkiss School. A subsequent Ellsworth American piece published in 2002 lists Platner as one of four students in Sullivan, Maine, who made the hour-long commute to John Baptist Memorial High School in Bangor, a more cost-friendly private school. Platner is identified as a junior who is accustomed to the commute "after three years."

"What I like best is just the education," Platner told the paper. "Being a private school, you get much more attention."

It's unclear what prompted Platner's seemingly sudden departure from Hotchkiss to John Baptist. Neither the schools nor the Platner campaign responded to requests for comment.

I could take a guess.

Platner's opponent, the 77-year-old former governor Janet Millis, does not have a Nazi symbol cut into her tit, one assumes.

And yet the self-declared "Antifa Supersoldier" is running 30 points ahead of her.
