In the Netherlands, they built a tunnel under an existing bridge in a single weekend. I grieve at how the US almost deliberately makes itself the worst in almost all categories.

Below: The Japanese are spending, I think, five trillion dollars to make Japan and especially Tokyo earthquake-proof. (Or as earthquake-proof as possible.)

How do you stop a tsunami from washing Tokyo away? By building an absolutely gigantic water-sink under Tokyo so that millions and millions of tons of flood-water will just drain right down into the sink.
