FBI Director Kash Patel on Wednesday night that the suspect is now in custody. The investigation is still ongoing.

"The [suspect] for the horrific shooting today that took the life of Charlie Kirk is now in custody," Patel posted on X. "Thank you to the local and state authorities in Utah for your partnership with the FBI.
We will provide updates when able."

I saw a tweet, or a purported tweet, by an asshole with a Star Wars Cantina Band name threatening that "something big" would happen to Kirk today. I don't really want to post it because I don't have any idea of its authenticity.

During the @TMZ livestream today, employees at TMZ could be heard CHEERING 30 seconds before @charliekirk11’s death was announced on the TMZ livestream. They were happy to hear the news of Charlie Kirk’s death and can be heard clapping and cheering before passing the news to Harvey Levin, who was hosting the stream.

@HarveyLevinTMZ needs to condemn this.

I have clipped the livestream before they try to delete it.

Shameful and disgusting behavior by TMZ. Shame on them. Charlie is a husband and a father. He was murdered in cold blood.
