With Pro-Trans Democrats Threatening a Return of Jim Crow, Can Pete Buttigieg’s Black Support Go Lower than 0%?

In a recent poll of Democrat primary voters regarding whom they favor as their 2028 presidential candidate, Pete Buttigieg is the leader. Mr. Buttigieg is famous for being gay, of course. His sexual orientation and LGBTQ advocacy were pretty much the only qualifications the Biden administration could come up with for making the mayor of a small city the nation’s Transportation Secretary. Regarding that poll, among black voters, “Mayor Pete” is the choice of 0%. Zero point zero percent!

Meanwhile, Virginia is electing a new governor in November. The Democrat candidate, Abigail Spanberger, is a candidate who represents the base of her party and is an ally of the trans movement and all of its worst extremes, including the right for men to have access to women’s restrooms and allowing boys to play in girls’ sports. The Republican candidate, Winsome Earle-Sears, is a black woman who is running a spirited campaign, focusing heavily on Spanberger’s support for granting men access to women’s spaces if those men identify as “trans.” Ms. Earle Sears is also the current Lt. Governor of Virginia, having been elected in 2021 in the same election when Republican Glenn Youngkin was elected governor.

The Democrats’ base, for whom the trans agenda is a foundational issue, are viciously fighting back against Ms. Earle-Sears. When Winsome spoke at an Arlington School Board meeting a few weeks ago on the issue of allowing boys access to girls’ locker rooms, the Democrats’ trans activists showed up to protest her. It hardly needs to be pointed out that the trans activists were exclusively white. But because Winsome is black, the white Democrats had an original message to send her.

A woman who has been identified as a Democrat activist and volunteer in the Spanberger campaign held up a sign reading, ”Hey Winsome, if trans can’t share your bathroom, then blacks can’t share my water fountain.”

This sign was so offensive that I first wondered if it might be a false-flag effort by someone on the right to harm the Spanberger campaign. But it was, in fact, an actual Spanberger supporter advocating for a return to legal segregation for black Americans if they dare to disagree with the Democrats’ white, liberal base on the trans issue.

When a local TV station inquired about her racist call for a return to racial segregation, the woman defended her sign as satire.

Circling back to Pete Buttigieg’s 0% support. While it is not my place to speak on behalf of black Americans, I understand that fatigue with left-wing “white saviors” helped Donald Trump receive a record number of black votes in the 2024 presidential race. With those white saviors now effectively threatening, “If men can’t walk in on little girls using the restroom, then let’s bring back Jim Crow,” this doesn’t bode well for any candidate shackled to the 20% side of this 80/20 issue. Can support for the LGBTQ candidate, Pete Buttigieg, drop below 0% among black Americans?

The damage this “Give us trans bathrooms or bring back Jim Crow” episode has done to the rift between white LGBTQ activists and black Americans is immense. Robert Johnson, the founder of BET (Black Entertainment Television), has donated $500,000 to Ms. Earle-Sears gubernatorial campaign.

“Madame Lieutenant Governor, I was so appalled by the racist diatribe displayed by a useful idiot at a recent press event that I choose to show all the voters of Virginia how Black Brothers stand up to defend and support Black Sisters when confronted with unadulterated racism. I have always been a good investor and that’s why I’m investing in you,” Mr. Johnson told Ms. Earle-Sears, according to her campaign.

Godspeed to Winsome Earle-Sears - a Christian, a veteran, and a great American. May providence, and the voters, make the Virigina Executive Mansion the next stop on her amazing journey.

As for Pete Buttigieg, I also wish him great success in his expected run for the 2028 Democrat presidential nomination. With Buttigieg on top of the Democrat ticket, the Republican candidate would have a great opportunity to show that the conservative agenda is in alignment with a growing coalition of minority voters and their values.

With Democrat presidents beholden to the climate cult, and with Obama / Biden appointing “renewable energy” zealots to the TVA board, it is imperative that control of the TVA be detached from Washington DC. There is much pushback against privatization, however, from those who believe the future of the TVA can continue to look like its past. It can’t. Anti-carbon Democrats won’t allow it.

But there is another option – transferring ownership of the TVA to the seven states that receive electricity from it.

Despite years of agitation from anti-carbon activists and Obama- and Biden-era appointees, the TVA’s power mix has remained overwhelmingly carbon-based — for one reason: It works. “Renewable” energy sources (primarily solar) only constitute about 4% of its total electricity production. And, as always, solar energy drops to zero at night.

Moving ownership — and board appointments — to the seven primarily red states that rely on the TVA would ensure that green activists can’t destroy its ability to provide inexpensive, reliable electricity, while also maintaining the TVA’s status as a public utility.
