Bootyjudge now says "Gee willickers, I sure wish we could have opened the schools earlier than Never."

It's a neat trick, if you can get away with it.

Punish, censor, debank, demonetize, slander, impose damaging and arbitrary rules that ruin lives and cause immeasurable harm. Use your policies to gain political advantage and monetary gain, and when the grift gets exposed...shrug, say it was a minor error, and garner applause for political bravery.

You get all the benefits you can grab from imposing horrible policies, and you get all the benefits from doing a U-turn and showing political "growth." Rinse, repeat.

Pete Buttigieg is obviously running for president, and during the COVID pandemic, he seized on and stoked fear of the virus to trash his political opponents. We were grandma killers. We were hostile to teachers and students. We were evil, evil people who only cared about ourselves.

I wonder if Bootyjudge will also call Lara Trump to "apologize."

I do have to give him props -- he went on the True Conservative Bulwark Podcast, so that's brave of him, to go on such an unfriendly, True Conservative outlet.

I guess going on Tim Miller's Trump Derangement Show is part of the Democrats' "outreach to straight men."

Noted Mentally-Ill Madwoman and Luigi Mangione Bean-Flicker Taylor Lorenz (the World's Oldest Teenager) accused Pete Buttigieg of "far-right eugenics."

See, by attempting to cover his ass for his 2028 presidential run and claiming he now believes the schools shouldn't have been closed, he's really attempting to GENOCIDE people with chronic, incurable hypochondria and a Cluster B mania for attention-seeking.

Taylor Lorenz, a widely respected journalist who has worked for the New York Times and the Washington Post, and who recently appeared in an Emmy-nominated documentary series on CNN, has accused former transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg of supporting mass murder and "embrac[ing] far-right eugenics." Lorenz, 40, previously accused former president Joe Biden of committing "war crimes" in Gaza and "genocide" in the United States (by failing to reinstate COVID-era masking policies). On Wednesday, she lashed out at Buttigieg on social media after the failed presidential candidate argued Democrats should not have been so averse to reopening schools during the 2020 pandemic.

"Pete saying he would have 'opened the schools sooner' in 2020 aka killing MORE vulnerable ppl faster, sacrificing teachers and educators (and kids!) lives to force them back into unventilated buildings [with] no protections," Lorenz wrote on X, the immigrant-owned social media platform. "Disgusting how Dems have fully embraced far right eugenics."

Lorenz's view appears to be more in line with the one expressed by Pete's husband, Chasten Buttigieg, in a July 2020 interview with Time magazine. "There's already a flight risk of teachers fleeing the profession," he said. "I don't want to see teachers leaving the profession on gurneys." Democrats, teachers' unions, and their media allies routinely accused Republicans of wanting to murder children by opening schools too soon. They claimed to be on the side of "science," even though they were not.

Meanwhile, childless lesbian gooner Randi Weingarten lied on CSPAN again, claiming she always wanted to open the schools.

In fact, the indisputable evidence shows that she was always calling for unattainable "safety" standards so that no schools could ever open. She would say she really wants schools to open, and that's why she's demanding that all schools be upgraded to be Biolab 4 safety levels. And then, once each and every schoolroom has a positive-pressure sealed door, we can re-open them.

And meanwhile: The COVID Caucus is trying to gin up panic about another covid variant.

"Known as NB.1.8.1, the omicron variant has been tracked in states across the country following a large surge in China. Although, right now, LP.8.1 -- a descendent of JN.1 -- is the nation's dominant strain," reports The Independent.

"CDC is aware of reported cases of COVID-19 NB.1.8.1 in China and is in regular contact with international partners," a spokesperson for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told CBS News last week.

Other outlets are breathlessly reporting rising cases worldwide and stoking "growing fears" over what it could all mean. But here's the kicker: so few U.S. sequences have been submitted that they're not even showing up on the official variant-tracking dashboard. Still, that hasn't stopped the media from doing what it does best -- cranking up the fear machine and urging everyone to slam the panic button, facts be damned.
