Here's something for the Pet Thread: The 2025 Starkville Derby is coming up! It's billed as the "World's Largest Wiener Dog Race" and is held annually in Starkville, Mississippi (which is also home to my alma mater, Mississippi State University).

This is Finn the Cool, our new addition. He may look cute, but he is 7 lb of attitude. Lincoln had a tough year last year, being so sick and then getting attacked at the dog park, we thought he might like a companion. We thought a puppy might be a better fit than an adult dog, but we've never had a small dog or a beagle. They are smart, fearless and full of energy. Lincoln took to him immediately. They play constantly and wear each other out. Although, he just found his voice and has been singing us the songs of his people, we love this furball.

Buzzion here. My dog Tali went missing on 3/27 in Piqua Ohio. Somehow she got out of my backyard or was taken but I have no idea how. With Watson passing away in December this has just absolutely destroyed me. I've had no luck with sightings nor the surrounding county animal shelters. I just wish she would come back.

Oh no! Prayers for you and Tali! What a sweetheart.

Long time lurker and rare poster Scont here. This is a pic of my cat Marilyn. I found her on the side of the road half starved to death back in 2011. Took her in and she soon became a permanent fixture on my lap. One day I was brushing her and wound up with a big wad of shed fur. I flattened it and put it on her head. It's a miracle that she stayed still long enough for me to snap the picture.
