Good evening boys and girls and everything in between. Your normal cordial and hospitable host, CBD, is out on assignment or something to that effect.
So Garrett will be free from Croc memes for another month. Perhaps.
*****
Concert season will soon be upon us. At least that is what we Frozen Tundra residents say.
Attending concerts is one of the joys in life that The Fabulous and I do together. And as spring approaches we already have a couple of them lined up. One of the interesting things that has come about with the world wide web is the vast amount of knowledge and how varied it is.
For example when we see Chuck Prophet and The Bodeans in concert over the next couple of months we can go online and obtain the following:
-Set lists
-Merchandise to be found at the concert
-A view of the stage from your seat
-Reviews of the concert at previous venues
So you are probably thinking what does the definition of surprise have to do with tonight's Music Thread? Good question.
The Fabulous and I are big fans of Neil Young & Crazy Horse. We traveled to the famed Summer Fest grounds in Milwaukee in the Summer of 2003 to see Mr. Young and the best grunge band perform.
Young's new album hadn't been released. We hadn't heard of any reviews. We had no idea what was in store for us that evening. We were expecting classic Young & Crazy Horse. Boy were we surprised when he unveiled Greendale. The entire album was played. Then to top it off, they played 5 encore songs. I don't have a great memory, I have the handy dandy internet.
So I can look up all the information about an upcoming show. However, I do enjoy being surprised.
So have you ever been to an event that totally surprised you?
Thank you for stopping by. If you have complaints about tonight's entertaining music thread. Please contact CBD. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
