The Morning Report — 1/15/25

CommieCoozey.jpg

Good morning kids. It is with a great deal of sadness that we learn the Democrat/Socialist Newsom/Bass wildfire has claimed its 25th victim.

So, that's roughly 130 million + 25 in just over 100 years. But who's counting. Funny how in their unquenchable lust for absolute power via the insane notion of changing human nature, for our own good (allegedly), the wretch-inducing expression "If it saves just one life" sprang into being, what ever any liberty-destroying edict, law or EO is proposed. The bitter irony is of course that if creating paradise on earth results in eradicating a few dozen or a few million lives, in their eyes it would've been worth it. Or as Leftist icon and hero Joseph Stalin once said, the death of one is a tragedy, but the death of a million is a statistic. No one ever asked if a million deaths one by one over time is a million tragedies or if a million are wiped out all at once is the statistic. Of course, anyone daring to ask him that would become an instant tragedy via sudden lead poisoning to the back of the neck on the steps to the basement of the Lubyanka or as part of the retaining wall somewhere along the path of the White Sea Canal.

While firefighters continue to battle to get the fires under control against steady strong winds, and of course the aftermath, clean up and debate of how to rebuild, other stories are making news this morning.

With just a week before Donald Trump is sworn in, Thank God, confirmation hearings for his cabinet appointees have begun, and yesterday's attempt to slime, smear and destroy his nominee for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth turned into an abject shotshow for the Democrats, led mostly by the coven of hectoring, hysterical, halitosis emitting desiccated diseased unguent-deprived uteruses and their clattering dentures. Primarily fake Injun Elizabeth Warren and Maizie Hirohito, warped, evil, progeny of an Hawaiian child prostitute pimp mother.

Compare and contrast them with the exemplary record as an American Patriot and human being of Pete Hegseth. That contrast alone is illustrative of just how far we have fallen as a nation and society. When scum of the earth harridans and criminal liar Democrats But I repeat, repeat, repeat myself manage to be elected and get to sit in judgement of such an exemplary American, it makes the blood boil.

And yet, Hegseth and Markwayne Mullin ripped them all to shreds. It was glorious to see. First Hegseth:

“The Defense Department under Donald Trump will achieve Peace Through Strength. And in pursuing these America First national security goals, we will remain patriotically a-political and stridently Constitutional,” Hegseth said. “Unlike the current administration, politics should play no part in military matters. We are not Republicans or Democrats — we are American warriors. Our standards will be high, and they will be equal (not equitable, that is a very different word).”

Since coming to power nearly four years ago, the Biden-Harris Pentagon has made implementing neo-Marxist ideologies such as “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) a top priority. These policies have undermined military readiness and contributed to the service’s ongoing recruiting crisis.

Hegseth stressed that the Defense Department must “make sure every warrior is fully qualified on their assigned weapon system, every pilot is fully qualified and current on the aircraft they are flying, and every general or flag officer is selected for leadership based purely on performance, readiness, and merit.” He further noted how, “Leaders — at all levels — will be held accountable,” and that “warfighting and lethality — and the readiness of the troops and their families — will be our only focus.”

Now Mullin:

. . . perhaps the most forceful part of Mullin’s rant came when he turned the tables, questioning the behavior of many senators.

“How many senators have showed up drunk to vote at night?” he asked. “Have any of you guys asked them to step down and resign from their job? And don't tell me you haven't seen it, because I know you have.”

Mullin was far from done. “And then how many senators do you know have got a divorce for cheating on their wives? Did you ask them to step down?" he asked. "No, but it's for show.” Mullin’s statement underscored the disconnect between the sanctimonious standards some senators set for others and the tolerance they exhibited for their own flaws. “You guys make sure you make a big show and point out the hypocrisy because a man’s made a mistake and you want to sit there and say that he’s not qualified? Give me a joke,” he said, exposing how political theater often overshadowed actual qualifications and character.

Left unsaid was Mullin giving the Dems the bird and telling them to go fuck themselves in the heart with a rusty steak knife, but still.

Shifting back to Hegseth's comments about preparedness and capability, juxtapose that with the causes of the incineration of Los Angeles and you can see how crucial it is for us to have an Army (Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard manned top to bottom with Pete Hegseths. And not divisions of junk-tuckers and Lesbians named Kristin. And just the opposite for the Democrats and our enemies abroad).

And speaking on that, the other big story bubbling up is a potential ceasefire deal between Israel and the Hamas terrorists that evidently is being brokered by Trump and Biden that would have the Israelis release Hamas terrorists in exchange for Israeli hostages, alive and/or their corpses. With mere days to go before he takes control, I cannot for the life of me see any advantage to Trump forcing a hostages for terrorists deal on Israel. It has proven time and again to be tragically shortsighted and provocative, as well as at least to me counterintuitive to Trump and his advisers' mindsets with regard to Israel. What can he possibly be thinking, unless there is something going on behind the scenes that would give Israel a green light to do whatever it feels it must, like turning Gaza into Pacific Palisades on the Med.

Instead of crafting its own foreign policy, the Trump administration is being stuck with Biden’s policy of pandering to Islamic terrorists.

And that’s a disaster not only for Israel. but for America.

After the initial euphoria of freeing a few hostages, the Trump administration will be stuck managing Gaza, it will be stuck funding the mess, pressuring Israel not to go after terrorists and when the thousands of freed Hamas terrorists kill Americans, the Trump administration will be blamed.

The smart play was to let Israel win the war without getting involved. The dumb play was [Trump advisor and negotiator Steve] Witkoff doing whatever Blinken told him to do.

One lousy week. One miserable fucking week, and Trump couldn't wait?! Yes, that after 14 nightmarish months in captivity these poor people should spend even one additional nanosecond in the clutches of these subhuman barbarian fiends is a crime against humanity. But to allow a single Hamas prisoner to go free, in exchange is an even greater crime that desecrates the grave and memory of every single victim of Islamic terrorism (apology for the redundancy) going back to Munich and frankly, considering what Islam is and its history, going back to Mohammed Pig-Piss-Be-Upon-him.

to be fair to Trump, considering the ferocity and length of the combined Hamas/Hezbollah/Houthi/Iran assault on Israel, as well as the scummy duplicity and deviltry of the Israeli Left, Bibi's willingness to cave on this in that light is understandable, if certainly not excusable (IMHO despite my being Jewish though not a citizen of Israel, so they have to sort that out). I mean every terrorist for innocent Israeli hostage trade in the past has led to nothing but later rinse repeat, bigger and bloodier than ever. If 10/7 did not teach that lesson, what the hell will, Bibi? Trump?

Psircling back to the Los Angeles fires and the chicken and egg of ideology and competency, as well as the notion of an out of control bureaucracy running our lives, I give you a fascinating essay from noted Libertarian John Stossel and his debate with Michael Malice on the nature of governmental control in the guise of protecting us, via the bureaucracy:

. . . podcaster Michael Malice, in my new video, says not to worry, "We have so much further to go before we're lost as a country." Malice knows the damage real tyrants do. He's spent time in North Korea, and he was born in the Soviet Union. He detests political "leaders," saying the best political system is anarchism: self-government without a central authority, or, as the AI on my computer defines it: "a self-managed, stateless society based on voluntary cooperation and mutual aid."

Malice and I debate that. I'm no anarchist. I'm a libertarian. I believe we should be allowed to act as we wish, so long as we don't hurt others. I accept the need for limited government, one that adjudicates disputes, enforces pollution control, and funds police and a military to keep us safe. Malice says it's wrong to think that way, because all central government is a problem.

"Security is like anything else," he argues. "Should the government be producing books? ... No. Producing helicopters? ... No ... a government monopoly makes no sense. But somehow when it comes to security, you're OK with this. And then you live in New York and wonder why it ends up being the way it is."

It pairs up nicely with another good essay from Bruce Thornton of Frontpage Mag:

Thanks to over a century of progressive technocratic expansion through the metastasizing of federal agencies, their imperious regulatory regime has spread ever more widely, one that as Tocqueville prophesized “covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and most energetic characters can penetrate.” The purpose is “to keep them [citizens] in perpetual childhood.” . . . Regulatory hypertrophy began with the multiplication of laws. Progressivism, believing that credentialed “experts” are better at governing people than the people themselves, started increasing federal laws to fix “problems” or “crises” that states, counties, and cities––closer to their people’s circumstance, mores, and problems––were better placed to deal with. Yet firm believers in not letting “a good crises go to waste,” progressives began manufacturing crises, then passing laws and creating agencies tasked with managing those problems. . . Yet firm believers in not letting “a good crises go to waste,” progressives began manufacturing crises, then passing laws and creating agencies tasked with managing those problems.

And remember, the regulatory state is there not to protect you, but control you. Hence the mythological dangers of global warming and Carbon dioxide, etc. All as pretext to snatch and grab whole sectors of the economy and in essence deny you the freedom to choose how you want to live in service to the demonic desire of the Left and their apparatchiks to lord over you. Instead of protecting you from real dangers from criminals, foreign and domestic, terrorists ditto and ditto.

If setting a sleeping woman on fire in a NYC subway, allowing whole business districts to be looted and destroyed as a legitimate reaction to mythical white supremacy, and an entire city to be burned to the ground because having lesbians and blacks running the city is more important than actual competency and ability, and that doing what needed to be done would fly in the face of global warming and racism dogma as the real dangers, when in point of fact they are the weapons/cassus belli with which bureaucracy controls the citizenry -- if all that is not a cold shot of reality, then nothing will be.

Have a great day. And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.
