Javi Milei Defunds the Bureaucrats Tasked with Reducing Violence Against Women and Yet the Murder Rate of Women Somehow Drops 10% Anyway

You probably call him "Javier," but I'm on a nickname basis with Javi.

As you probably know, Javi was deemed a "far-right" figure by the far-left media. But then he moved Argentina's economy out of a deep recession, and CNN stopped calling him "far right" so as not to give credit to any "far right" figures. Now he's "libertarian."

The key to this Unexpected Growth was Javi's slashing of the inflation rate largely by cutting government spending, of course:

When Javi said "afuera" to the Undersecretariat of Special Programmes against Gender-based Violence, everyone in the far left media said that violence against women would increase, because we all know that if you fund a government program for a purpose, that purpose is always achieved on-time and under-budget.

And yet, despite cutting funding for the Undersecretariat of Special Programmes against Gender-based Violence, the murder rate of women did not climb as all rational truth-tellers predicted.

In fact, it fell by 10%.

How can this be?!?!

My shocked face was last seen wearing a smoking jacket and sipping brandy.

2024 saw a 10% increase in un-murdered women even though the defunct ministry had an Undersecretariat of Special Programmes against Gender-based Violence, if you can imagine such a thing. The since-fired Undersecretariat must be incredibly disappointed to learn that her job had been phony-baloney all along.

What did happen after Milei closed the Ministry was that he also adopted a tough-on-crime posture. According to a translation of Milei's announcement, "The decrease is attributed to a zero-tolerance policy on violent offenders, not bureaucratic spending or activist-driven initiatives." By some stroke of luck, cracking down on crime resulted in less crime. Lefties worldwide are scratching their heads at the news.
