The winter holidays are the most wonderful time of the year and we want to make sure they're also the safest. While we revel in the good food and family fun, it's important make sure the traditions we love don't pose risks to our cats and other animals.
Several categories of holiday risks are discussed in writing, or watch the video for a few brief highlights:

Meet The PetMorons
Good afternoon from cold New Hampshire K.T.
Although she passed ten years ago here's a nice holiday photo of our dear Matilda (aka Tilly).
Thank you as always for the wonderful pet thread.
Rodent
A great photo of beloved Tilly. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Here is a picture of our rescued dog, Beau, last year at Christmas. He is a pitbull mix and is about 6 years old. We have had him for 2 years.

What an absolutely wonderful photo of Beau - ready for Christmas! He seems happy that you rescued him.

Something special: PetMorons with a Christmas Gift:
Wolfhounds and Jack The Shiba in the snow.
Longtime lurker Diana Pool if you would be so kind. One of the dogs is on the cover of my (free download till the end of the year) book Selinon. His name was Beren, his favorite food was Ikea Swedish meatballs, and, alas and alack, he now runs in the stars with eight other wolfhounds I have had the privilege of affectionately accompanying over the years. They make up the Pleiades, which, contrary to popular scientific knowledge, have nine stars in the group and are not all sisters. Or so I choose to believe.
I have mentioned the free download in the book thread, but would appreciate if it were noted here as well.
I have many more photos if you wish to see some, and could write something on the breed as well if you are interested. A good website for the breed is Iwane.org and Beren took a first there several years ago.

Great dogs and great information. So sorry that you have lost Beren. We will be looking forward to learning more about this breed. There seem to be some specialists in The Horde.

A couple of pics of our Australian Shepherds, Belle and Bilbo. Belle is on the left and Bilbo on the right in the Christmas photo.
They're great companions and don't usually pose for pictures. A couple of treats can sometimes convince them to sit still.
Merry Christmas, Steve
Merry Christmas! Great dogs. Congratulations on getting them to pose!
Oops. Missed the second photo at first. Sorry. It's a great one. And it DID require posing.

If you start feeling nostalgic, here a link to last week's Pet Thread, the Ace of Spades Pet Thread, December 7. Some special PetMoron stories and photos there.
I closed the comments on this post so you wouldn't get banned for commenting on a week-old post, but don't try it anyway.
