Six Pounds of Fury and Terror!
It's been almost exactly one year since we said goodbye to WeaselDog, and Fun Size Joe needed a sister, so please welcome our new little furry pal Unnamed Little Furry Pal! She's about three years old and weighs in at a solid six pounds. We brought her home yesterday from the local animal shelter and she makes FSJ look positively big by comparison. He is being a such good boy and sharing all of his stuff and our new little girl is settling right in!

So far she is laying low and figuring things out, but I can tell there is a big attitude inside the little package! Any suggestions for a name?

Cigar of the Week

When I'm not shaking my fist at imaginary kids on my lawn or wishing I had a lawn, my mind often wanders to the depressing state of online customer service. Today's know-nothing CEO's appear more interested in sucking out our personal data than delivering us beef jerky and booze. It's a damn shame.

What does that have to do with Cigars you ask? As it happens, plenty. First of all, I'm usually smoking a cigar when I'm shaking my fist at imaginary kids. Secondly, I was a life-long BigCigar customer but got fed up with their fees, email spam, weird clubs and poor customer service.

A note about sources. The brick & mortar/online divide exists with cigars, as with guns, and most consumer products, with respect to price. As with guns - since both are "persecuted industries", basically - I make a conscious effort to source at least some of my cigars from my local store(s). It's a small thing, but the brick & mortar segment for both guns and tobacco are precious, and worth supporting where you can. And if you're lucky enough to have a good cigar store/lounge available, they're often a good social event with many dangerous people of the sort who own scary gunz, or read smart military blogs like this one. -rhomboid
