The Morning Report — 10/1/24

Good Morning Kids. WELCOME TO OCTOBER, the traditional time when as a kid I looked forward to watching post-season baseball and then the Fall Classic. Ironically, a fixture of those halcyon days of the late 60s and early 70s of my youth, Pete Rose, "Charlie Hustle" passed away at 83 yesterday. just on the cusp of the playoffs. Regardless of the cloud of scandal that still envelopes him, he remains a reminder, at least for me, of happier times. In what is almost a completely unrecognizable country to what it was during his heyday.

With that preamble, there are several major things going on both here and abroad that top the headlines. Israel evidently has indeed launched its ground assault into southern Lebanon with the aim of grinding as much of Hezbollah as it can into the ground. Good luck, good hunting and Godspeed IDF.

they'll not only get no help from the junta that controls the USA, but as Ace reported yesterday evening, those in power reportedly leaked some of the details of the IDF's planned actions ahead of time to the terrorists. The continued degradation of Hezbollah and Hamas, which are in point of fact proxy armies of Iran led me to speculate on the possibility of ultimately a toppling of the mullahocracy in Tehran, as well as putting a serious dent in its continued quest for atomic weapons.

[Jared Kushner]: "Anyone who has been calling for a ceasefire in the North is wrong. There is no going back for Israel. They cannot afford now to not finish the job and completely dismantle the arsenal that has been aimed at them. They will never get another chance."

One way to read that is Kushner wants Israel to finish off Hezbollah. The other is that Kushner is strongly hinting that Israel needs to dismantle Iran's nuclear program, too. 
A Wall Street Journal story Sunday quoted Johns Hopkins professor and former State Department advisor Vali Nasr saying, "Iran is not ready [for war with Israel] right now because it’s not the right time. But there will be a right time."

When your enemy is not yet ready for war but you are, is there ever a better time to strike?

You can be sure that's a debate that started (or perhaps re-started) in Jerusalem probably no later than Oct. 8. Hamas is holed up in northern Gaza. Hezbollah is leaderless, and Israel is systematically destroying their caches of weapons and rockets. The U.S. is effectively without a president, creating a world leadership vacuum that Jerusalem has a limited time to exploit.

I'm deadly serious on that last point — who's in charge here anyway?

My gut tells me if the Iranian government is indeed on the verge of or perhaps possibly in danger of being seriously destabilized to the point of collapse, what might the Deep State traitors and scum in Foggy Bottom and Kalorama do to protect them?

Closer to home, In the wake of Hurricane Helene with a death toll of at least 130 so far, and reports of bodies in the trees, what is of utmost importance to our government instead of mitigating suffering and further death?

DEI, of course!

Remember Ford’s line about quality being job 1? At FEMA, Equity is job 1.
After equity comes ‘climate resilience’ and only in third place is to ‘Promote and Sustain a Ready FEMA and Prepared Nation’ which can mean (if you’re generous and naive) doing its actual job.
But first comes FEMA’s primary mission to ‘Instill Equity as a Foundation of Emergency Management’.
And that’s why the disaster in North Carolina is playing out the way that it is. I’ll have more on that in my article ‘FEMA’s DEI Crippled Hurricane Helene Response’.

Of course the rural south, being a traditional bastion of conservatives and christians, Well so what if a few hundred or even thousand whites drown or are dislocated. The junta no doubt has planeloads of Haitians, Guatemalans and even so-called "Palestinians" to take their place. After all, there is no opposite equivalent to Ray Nagin's infamous "Chocolate City" declaration about New Orleans, when his graft and incompetence helped destroy it, all the while blaming George W. Bush for attempting to ethnically cleanse the city of its blacks!

Of course, Joey Sponge-Brain Shits_Pants has declared that we have no money nor resources to help with the relief. Well, with billions shipped off to Ukraine, and that Gaza pier, well, the cupboard is indeed bare!

Speaking of piers, there is indeed now a nationwide dockworkers strike.
