Kids Should Be Blindfolded and Dropped in the Woods at Night
In the Netherlands, kids grow up with more independence than in the United States.
Blindfolded kids, driven off in a car, and dumped into the woods at night. In America, we call that a crime. In the Netherlands? It's called a "dropping," and it's a beloved childhood tradition.
"It's a rite of passage," says Mark Pols, an investor living in Silicon Valley who grew up in Holland.
BEL AIR, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Bel Air mansion that's on sale for more than $21 million has become the latest high-end property in Southern California to be covered in graffiti.
The mansion's pink exterior, as well has the inside, has been defaced by taggers.
It is currently on the market for $21.5 million. The realtor for the property told Eyewitness News the house has been on and off the market for three years, and that most potential buyers want to tear it down or re-do it.
An Arkansas couple was arrested after allegedly attempting to sell their two-month-old baby to a man at a campground for $1,000 and a six-pack of beer.
Darien Urban, 21, and Shalene Ehlers, 20, face felony charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and attempting to accept compensation for relinquishment of a minor.
The Benton County Sheriff's Office said it received a call on Sept. 21 from the manager of the Hide Away Campground reporting that the couple "tried to give up the baby for a 6-pack of beer and then wanted $1,000 for the baby," according to an affidavit, WREG reported.
