The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

Iran has a seat at the United Nations. That, in and of itself is a damning indictment of the entire sh*tshow on the East River. But it gets worse; Iran also is a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

This is a country that has roving squads of lunatics, beating women who have the temerity to go out in public without the hijab (the mark of the slave). Sometimes they arrest them and they are killed by the security apparatus. And that's just for dressing incorrectly. Say something against the Mad Mullahs, and you might very well get a visit from the Security Police, which is often a ticket to a dungeon and a slow death.

And of course the 800 pound gorilla in the room is Iran's enthusiastic support of terror groups across the world. Hezbollah (how many Americans have they killed?), Hamas (how many Americans have they killed), Houthis, Al Qaeda (remember them!), Shia militias in Iraq, and about 50 other terrorist groups intent on the overthrow of countries across the world: Kenya, Argentina, Albania, India, France, and of course here in the United States. That's a partial list!

Iran Official Vows 'Unlimited' Support for Regional Terrorism

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi vowed on Monday to keep up Tehran's "unlimited support" for terror groups throughout the region while avoiding a direct clash with Israel, according to official Iranian media.

The policy of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's government is to "provide unlimited support to the resistance," said Araghchi. "We will support the resistance front, which has established itself as a reality in the region."

The "Axis of Resistance" includes Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Yemen's Houthi rebels, and other Iranian-backed terrorist groups in the Middle East.

But Iran's policy for the entirety of its existence as an Islamic republic has been the destruction of Israel and America. That has not moderated one iota in spite of the vast accommodation America and the West has made. And the reason is simple...Iran is a terrorist state and has no interest in finding common ground with its enemies.

If that sounds glaringly obvious, that's because it is. Only the profoundly stupid and ignorant elites in Western governments can ignore the reality of 45 years of evidence that Iran will not change.

We see the consequences of an unleashed Iran along the borders of Israel. Hamas conducted the worst pogrom since the Holocaust, Hezbollah is launching rockets into Northern Israel, the Houthis are disrupting global shipping, and that's with the support of Iran WITHOUT nuclear weapons.

An Iran with nuclear weapons will be an order of magnitude more dangerous. Obviously their first target seems like it will be Israel, but that risks a robust response from a country that is already under attack and has no illusions about the goals of the Islamic hordes surrounding it. Perhaps Europe or Saudi Arabia or even America would be a safer target.

The logical answer would be for a united West to crack down on the commerce that supports Iranian terror, support dissidents within Iran, and hold the regime responsible for the destruction their proxies have wrought across the region.

That will not happen unless Donald Trump wins in November.
