A friend of mine said that this is Metallica's best song. I would hate to hear their worst, but this one is pretty good, especially considering the vast hole they are working out of: Heavy Metal.

I'm too young to have any familiarity with tubes, but I have a faint recollection of seeing a testing table when I was a kid. I wonder whether there are any significant uses for tubes nowadays? Of course the stereophile lunatics duke it out all of the time over the burning question of whether tube amps are superior, but that is about as niche a use as I can imagine.
