Law enforcement at Donald Trump's Pennsylvania rally reportedly had an individual stationed atop the "sloped" roof used by the shooter prior to the incident, but it was abandoned because of "hot weather," according to a whistleblower familiar with Secret Service planning.
Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley released a letter on X (formerly known as Twitter) to Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas on Monday, calling out Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle's previous claim that security had not been stationed on the roof where gunshots were later fired from due to it being "sloped," according to NBC News.
"Contrary to Director Cheatle's public statements about the 'safety' of the sloped roof of American Glass Research Building 6, one whistleblower with direct knowledge of Secret Service planning for the event alleges that there was supposed to be a law enforcement presence on the roof that day," Hawley wrote.
Hawley claimed a whistleblower alleges "at least one" security agent had been posted on the rooftop of the American Glass Research Building 6, but later "abandoned his or her post," leaving law enforcement to "forego patrolling" the building.
"His or her," huh?
If this was all the fault of DEI incompetents from top to bottom, that would explain why they're absolutely refusing to tell us who did what at the event. They will tolerate DEI hires failing and causing people to die, but what they absolutely will not tolerate is anyone criticizing DEI for their lethal failures.
"In fact, the whistleblower alleges that at least one individual was specifically assigned to the roof for the duration of the rally, but this person abandoned his or her post due to the hot weather. The whistleblower further alleges that concerns over the heat prompted law enforcement to forego patrolling Building 6 and instead to station security personnel inside the building," Hawley wrote.
...
The Secret Service, Homeland Security, and Hawley's office did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation's request for comment.
Below, Josh Hawley talks about the whistleblowers' claims. He points out that there was air conditioning in the building, which may explain why agents at the building decided to "secure it" from the inside.
He also notes that those big air conditioning units on the sides of the building made it very easy to climb up to the roof.
There were also supposed to be security personnel, whether SS or local police, patrolling outside the building. But apparently they blew that off.
The local cops seem to have failed, here. But the Secret Service had to contract these "local law enforcement resources" because they were shorting Trump on Secret Service assets to give them to perk-hog Jill Biden, and then assigning Trump the All-Girls D-Team on top of that.
When the truth is revealed for all to see - that Joe Biden caused Trump's assassination because he wanted to deny him Secret Service protection out of spite and hatred -- there will have to be real reckoning with the party of political violence.
Donald Trump Reacts to Secret Service Director's Resignation
“She [Kimberly Cheatle] never gave me proper protection, so I ended up having to take a bullet for democracy.”
