Good afternoon and welcome to the almost world famous Ace of Spades Pet Thread. Thanks for stopping by. Kick back and enjoy the world of animals.

Would you like a treat?

Let's relax a little with the animals and leave the world of politics and current events outside today.

Dogs get an exception:

Hi, KT - I decided to do a bit of experimentin' with 'The AI'. Gotta say, the site was easy to use and it was quick. The result isn't too shabby (see attached). The entire image was created using only one typed prompt string (also attached). When I saw the result, it seemed as if it might be a good Saturday Quiz!(TM) item for the thread to see how many Morons approve (or notice). My suspicion is that we'll see AI become increasingly prevalent as a (ahem) 'decepticon' simply because it's so damned convincingly real at first glance.

Our society is primarily a huge Audio-Visual class now - not as many people read as before, fewer are of an 'investigative' mindset, and many - or most - are just accepting of whatever's put before them. I think The Horde(TM) is sharper than most, tho', so it won't surprise me if there are a lot of quick catches on this one. But, as I said, it was done strictly as a 'dip-the-toe-in-the-water' test of AI's abilities at this point. I'm sure it'll become a lot smoother and more difficult to detect with time, but for now, we might still hold the high cards. Enjoy!

So what do you think? Have you ever tried this?

Meet The PetMorons

clementiiine.jpg

This is Clementine being upset with Winston about a toy. She wandered up last February and has made life interesting. We have a new loveseat and a new floor plus no rugs thanks to her. Luckily she is the sweetest dog on the Earth and very cute. Her favorite activity is yelling. She yells when she hits a scent trail, when Winston won't play, when he will, for treats, for pets, in fact for everything good and bad. Winston was on the pet thread about four years ago. Just call me a lurker and thanks for the pet thread.

Aaawwwww . . . She just wants the toy!

Did I get the right Winston? This was about 4 years ago . .

Here is Buckley at 19 weeks. He's around 32lbs and has clearly outgrown the cat bed he took over. He LOVES squeaky toys. He is not gun shy since he's at the range twice a week. His best friend is a Blue Heeler named Ruger.

from lin-duh

Buckley is absolutely charming. Looks like he would get along real well with a Blue Heeler.

And now we have some PetMoron tweets from Chez Jacque Asserie

Chez Jacque Asserie:

I've wanted to send you videos of my morons, but the files are too large so I decided to tweet them out so all I gotta do is send you the links to post.

First is Johnny. He's not the sharpest knife, but he's a lovable kinda stupid. Here he's trying to figure out how a bag works -.and ultimately responds to me:

Next is Spooky, aka "Asshole", aka ….. well he's just a moron. Every day I try to be the dumbest one in the house but he beats me every time!!

And here we have Peanut, who literally snores…..

* * *

And finally for now is Tank, a big cat with an equally large purr!

Snoring and purring cats. Relaxing.

If you start feeling nostalgic, here a link to last week's Pet Thread, the Ace of Spades Pet Thread, March 2

I closed the comments on this post so you wouldn't get banned for commenting on a week-old post, but don't try it anyway.
