First-World Problems...
Well...as long as we are on the topic of locks...take a look at this! That is the key to a converted closet in which I keep my wine. And why do I need a lock on it? Well, in a word: teenagers. Why tempt the little bastards?
Although...the only time I should have locked it and I didn't was a long time ago when we had a get-together and a relative brought two friends who turned out to be less than ideal guests.
Anyway, that lock gets a lot of use, and not even 20 years after it was installed it snaps like a cheap Chinese knock-off!
But I took the key to the building supply company where the lock (and a lot of other stuff) was purchased, and they promptly made me a couple of copies from the code on the key.
And they didn't charge me, which I thought was quite unnecessary and quite nice. It's not like I would go somewhere else....they are the best in the business around here and their countermen seem to know everything about everything, which makes it effortless to get the correct stuff.
So...First-World Pleasure?
