Surprise! The Only American Hostage Released by Hamas Just Happens to be... the Niece of a Big Democrat Donor Who Bought Hunter Biden's "Art"

Updated: This is about the only American hostage released, not just "the first." At least nine Americans are still being held. Thanks to It's Me Donna for pointing that out.

Was it Johnny Chung, the Chinese illegal donor to the Clinton campaign in 1996, who said, "American politics is like the subway -- you have to put the tokens into the slot to make it work"?

Well, the Biden donors and "art connoisseurs sure do know how to make the subway work.

Of course I'm happy that the four-year-old girl Avigain (Abigail) Idan was released by Hamas.

But isn't it interesting that the inept Biden team managed to score this one single foreign policy victory.... on behalf of someone bribing the Biden family by paying absurd prices for Hunter Biden's kindergarten-level watercolors?

Abigail's aunt is Liz Hirsh Naftali.

If the name "Liz Hirsh Naftali" sounds familiar, it should.

Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali is one identified buyer of Hunter Biden's art.

As I wrote back in July, she's a Los Angeles real-estate investor and philanthropist, who is influential in California Democratic circles and has donated money to Joe Biden. She also got a plumb position from Biden.

Naftali was appointed to the Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad in July 2022, eight months after Hunter's first art opening. It's not clear when the purchase was made -- whether it was before or after the appointment.

As I noted then:

In the past, Hunter Biden has privately suggested that he could arrange to have friends seated on the commission. Eric Schwerin, Hunter Biden's longtime business associate, was appointed to the same post by President Barack Obama in 2015.

I wrote how the House Oversight Committee was seeking information from Naftali. The Committee has dropped a subpoena on her. So we will have to see what if anything she has to say to the Committee about the matter.

We're going to need to subpoena all communications between the White House, the State Department, Naftali herself, and Israel regarding this case.

We need to know how many "tokens" Naftali paid to make the subway work.

Update: Biden claims that Hamas choose to strike now because they knew that Biden was about to create peace throughout the Middle East.

The general idea that Hamas -- a proxy army of Iran -- decided to attack Israel to blow up a rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and Israel is sound enough. But of course all the diplomatic track for this train was laid by Donald Trump and, hard to believe but it's true, the idiot Jared Kushner.

And this is much more about the Saudis' decision to end the cold war with Israel than about Biden; Biden has gone out of his way to alienate the Saudis. Biden has done nothing to help the Saudi-Israel rapprochement and has done a lot to ruin it.

As always, Biden lies to make himself -- a low-IQ hanger-on whose only skills are soliciting foreign bribes and money laundering -- seem like he's actually accomplished something in his worthless gladhanding, featherbedding life.

He was also almost the quarterback for Navy, but there was a guy called Roger Staubach he decided to let keep his job.
