Music Thread: Dancing Clogs? Dancing Crocs? Only Garrett Knows!
Does anybody else fight over the music selections at family events? My operating theory is that at my house...it's my music.
Apparently that is not a universally held belief, because I have a relative who loves to hijack the bluetooth speaker I use in the kitchen. And I am no fan of his taste in music, so...
Anyway, here's a selection of what have I listened to recently...

Great song, performed by a curmudgeon who has been accused of being an anti-Semite. Is he? I don't know, but my guess is that at least part of those accusations are based on his vociferous opposition to masking and social distancing during the Wuhan Flu lunacy. Because if you are against masking you must be a Nazi!

Good stuff. Great stuff? Nope, and I simply do not understand the hype. But it's enjoyable music so I'll listen. Just not to excess.

What a voice.

Yeah...yeah. I know. Michael Stipe is a hipster douchebag weirdo lunatic. He is a champagne socialist who is anti-gun (wow there's a really brave stance to take in the music industry!). And a lot of REM's music sounds like the guitar tuning guy is deaf. But I like Stipe's voice, and a few of their songs are great.

Good solid Rock and Roll. They have also done some stellar covers, which is difficult. Most covers aren't quite as good as the originals, but The Goo Goo Dolls do a couple that are fantastic.

I have no idea how this ended up on my play list. I haven't heard them in many years, and while it was fun, I'm not running out to the record store to get their latest 45!
