I thought Instapundit was joking, parodying the media's "Palestinians were killed by the IDF," while "Israelis died due to the conflict" style or reporting.

But no, this is 100% real.

The Jew fell down all on his own and killed himself by hitting his head. What a clumsy Jew!

But then: Why is someone being arrested?! You don't arrest someone just because some klutzy Jew falls down and kills himself. What is going on here?!

A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a Jewish protester who fell and hit his head during Israel-Hamas protests in Southern California earlier this month, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Thursday.

"In connection with the death"? What connection? Like, a spiritual connection?

Or like an actual physical-plane cause-and-effect connection?

Loay Alnaji was arrested Thursday on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter and his bail will be set at $1 million, the news release said.

Involuntary manslaughter? Isn't that a charge usually levied when someone attacks another person, without the intent to kill him, and winds up killing the victim?

Alnaji was arrested within the hour and does not yet appear in the Ventura County inmate roster. CNN is trying to determine if he has legal representation.

Paul Kessler, 69, died after suffering a head injury following an interaction with a pro-Palestine protestor during dueling rallies on November 5.

Ah! So now CNN has finally gotten up the journalistic nerve to confess this clumsy Jew didn't just fall down and kill himself. In fact, there was "an interaction."

Witnesses said Kessler was "involved in a physical altercation" with at least one counter protester while pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian rallies were being held in Thousand Oaks, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office said in an earlier news release.

Kessler, according to the sheriff's office, was supporting Israel at the demonstrations -- two among the many that have sprung up in cities across the United States, either in support of Israel or to protest its retaliation for the October 7 Hamas attacks, which killed more than 1,200 people.

Loay Alnaji, who teaches computer science at Ventura Community College in California, allegedly hit Paul Kessler with a megaphone knocking him to the ground.

Alnaji is unabashed in his support for the Palestinian cause, posting online a video of an activist Shahid King Bolsen comparing the terror group Hamas with historic civil rights icons.

'If someone asked me to condemn Hamas I would say, what's the rush?' Bolsen says in the video posted on Instagram. 'Let's let history decide.

'You condemned Nelson Mandela until you didn't, until he was a hero,' he adds. 'You condemned Mahatma Gandhi until you didn't.

Bolsen, who was born Shannon Morris, is a 52-year-old American Catholic convert to slam who was sentenced to death in Dubai for murder. The court later reduced his conviction to manslaughter and he was released after paying compensation to the victim's family, the New York Times reported in 2015.

Denver-based Bolsen has been accused of inciting violence against Americans and US businesses in Egypt, a claim which he denied.
