The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

I am voting for Trump next year but I may leave the rest of my ballot blank because Republicans are not worthy of my support. It won’t be Donald Trump killing Republicans down ballot; it will be Republican indifference to the electorate that will cost them. Don Surber

Quote II

"Feminism has many causes, far too many to put in one tweet - but for me, inequality in healthcare is a priority and I will do my best to help overcome this injustice," Steph Richards, a transgender fake woman.

Quote III

“If we truly want to achieve our progressive goals of making Austin a less car-dependent city, we cannot be forcing developers to provide car storage in every single new project that goes up in our city limits,” Austin City Council Member Zohaib “Zo” Qadri

If I spend thousands upon thousands of dollars for something. Screw You Cybertruck.

Buying a Cybertruck? You'll agree not to sell it for one year. The detail is reportedly in the order agreement buyers must sign to get on the list. The rule is part of a section trying to exclude professional resellers and exporters who plan to exploit manufacturing shortages, but is unusual.

Tesla's order agreement says "You agree that, you will not sell or otherwise attempt to sell the Vehicle within the first year following your Vehicle's delivery date," without getting permission. Breaking the deal could result in your truck being remotely deactivated.

Given the ominously poor fit and finish of early Cybertrucks, it might end up being a provision quickly tested in court. Ah well. There'll always be a toy one.

“We’re Just Not Stupid” — Woman Explains Why Gen Z Is Rejecting the 40-Hour Work Week

A woman argued that Gen Z isn't lazy for not wanting to follow a 40 hour work week, stating that folks know they can earn the same amount in less time.

A Gen-Z woman argued in a 2-minute TikTok rant that her generation isn't lazy as so many people claim, but that they instead realize the value of their time.

Coyote vs. Acme movie dodges the fate of becoming a $30 million tax write-off

Rather than dump the Looney Tunes film, Warner Bros. is shopping it to the streaming giants
Beep, beep! Feature film Coyote vs. Acme has been pulled off the chopping block and put on the shopping block.

Like it did with Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt, Warner Bros. was on the verge of dumping Coyote vs. Acme and taking a hefty tax write-down, Deadline recently reported. But the Hollywood studio walked back that decision on the film, which was directed by Dave Green.

The Good Old Kung Flu Pandemic is still causing issues here in the USA. Work place battles.

The fight over return-to-office is getting dirty

Amazon has built its $1.3 trillion empire largely by tracking and evaluating almost every aspect of a customer's life. From a new TV to a toilet-paper refill, Amazon knows what a customer wants and when they want it, and it's always ready to serve it to them.

This obsession with metrics and data, however, does not appear to extend to certain parts of Amazon's workplace. Over the past few months, the company has aggressively pushed employees back to the office. In February, Amazon announced that employees would be required to come into the office three days a week and since then, the e-commerce giant has escalated its battle with remote employees: sending emails to employees about their attendance, creating internal dashboards to display how many days a week each employee was coming into the office, and telling managers in October that they could begin firing employees who weren't meeting the return-to-office requirements.

Kmart pulls ‘Merry Ham-Mas’ bags in Australia over fears looks like a tribute to Hamas: ‘We got it wrong’

Kmart stores in Australia have yanked a Christmas-themed bag for hams emblazoned with “Merry Ham-Mas” — after it sparked outrage for resembling the terror group Hamas.

The festive drawstring bag, which features holiday decorations and is intended to store a ham in the fridge, first drew ire from the Australian Jewish Association.

“K-MART STUFF-UP! Check out the special Christmas bag currently available via Kmart online. Yes, it’s real!!” the group wrote on X, where it posted an image of the $4 terror-evoking tote.

Couple Arrested For "Fully Nude" Florida Frolic
Cops: Woman, 55, said she dreamt of sex on public causeway

NOVEMBER 13--After being caught having “fully nude” sex on a Florida causeway--in front of children and other witnesses--a woman told cops it “was always a dream of mine” to engage in such a public tryst, while her male companion showed “zero remorse” when collared, court records show.

After receiving multiple 911 calls around 9 PM Friday, sheriff’s deputies responded to the causeway in Dunedin, a Gulf Coast city, and discovered a couple “having fully nude sexual intercourse in the presence of the victims,” which included a pair of juveniles.

On the side of the causeway, cops found Sara Fazekas, 55, and Robert Clarke, 60, “fully nude on top of one another,” according to a criminal complaint. Clarke, cops say, was on his back with his genitals “fully exposed.”

A witness described the pair’s encounter as “crack to sack, going to town.” Fazekas and Clarke--both of whom purchased Florida condos in 2021--are pictured in the above booking photos.
