Liberal jerkoff and candyass Joe Manchin will not run for re-election in West Virginia.

Sen. Joe Manchin, a West Virginia Democrat, announced Thursday that he will not run for reelection next year, fueling speculation over whether he plans on mounting a third-party White House bid and immediately complicating his party's chances of holding the Senate past 2025.

"After months of deliberation and long conversations with my family, I believe in my heart of hearts that I have accomplished what I set out to do for West Virginia," Manchin, who had been at the center of a monthslong waiting game in Washington as he mulled his future, said in a statement.

Confirming his exit from the Senate is likely to make it much more difficult for Democrats to hold his seat, given that West Virginia largely elects Republicans.

A Jewish leftwinger at the Guardian doesn't feel "safe" around his coworkers, given their open support for Hamas terrorism.

I check the news. Hamas has entered southern Israel. They're in a kibbutz. My partner's family is in that kibbutz. His cousin is nine months pregnant. He's in contact with them; they're in the safe room. Terrorists are outside.

"My partner."

...

I look at the papers the next day. The newspaper I work for has a tank on the front page: 'Hundreds die and hostages held as Hamas assault shocks Israel'--victorious terrorists hold a Palestinian flag. The subheading reads 'Netanyahu declares war as 150 Israelis die. 230 Palestinians killed in air strikes.'

I don't understand. I know people, Israelis, who were murdered. They did not "die," as if in some kind of accident. I saw footage of terrorism. It was not an "assault."

...

I listen to the radio, one Israeli interviewee and then one Palestinian. I can hear that the interviewer is struggling as defenders of Hamas justify terrorism. I don't understand. Is this how they reported the Russian invasion of Ukraine? Did they platform Putin's people?

...

I find out that a friend of a friend was at the music festival and is missing. I'm shaking at work.

I see a colleague who had posted about "decolonization" all over social media over the weekend. They're laughing with the rest of their team. They're having a great day. I used to love their podcast, full of hot takes and celeb gossip. Now they've evolved into an expert on the Middle East. It doesn't look like their family is in the middle of it, though.

No one else at work speaks to me about it. I nod my way through conversations about fonts and I stumble home.

I go back the next day. I look at the front page. A photo of Gaza and "violence escalates." Israelis "dead" but Palestinians "killed." If they can't empathize with the Jews now, they never will.

I email the editors. I tell them that my newspaper's coverage has been upsetting. They tell me that their thoughts are with my family but they stand by the paper's reporting.

I hear colleagues complaining about the newspaper's "American readers. They're always accusing us of antisemitism." They're laughing.

...

Back at work I see someone pointing to a photo of the Israeli flag burning in the newspaper. They laugh, "This is my favorite picture."

...

Now another colleague asks me what I think of Netanyahu. Do I hold him responsible? I explain that I have protested against Netanyahu but the only people responsible for October 7 are Hamas. She keeps asking me about the settlements. I tell her they're bad but she won't stop. "Don't you think Bibi has a lot to do with this?" I ask her if she has family in the region. She does not.

"If I just repeat the leftwing mantra that will protect me from their hatred."

Can I see your ticket, sir? Yes, I see; your ticket is in order.

The trouble is, sir, that this ticket proves that you bought the ticket, and now you'll have to take the ride.

I know: How could you have foreseen this? Socialists and communists are never antisemitic, never ever!

Bad news for garrett: the "sharp-edged" feminist website Jezebel is shutting down due to financial failure and a general air of sourtwat.

G/O Media said 23 staffers would be laid off, including Jezebel's team, as part of a restructuring to cope with economic headwinds and a difficult digital advertising environment. The New York-based company also announced the departure of G/O Media editorial director Merrill Brown.

In a memo to the company, G/0 Media CEO Jim Spanfeller said he made the "very, very difficult decision to suspend publication of Jezebel" after an unsuccessful search for a buyer for the website. Spanfeller praised Jezebel's editorial team but said the company's "business model and the audiences we serve across our network did not align with Jezebel's."

Vice is also layoff more of its layabouts.

Vice Media, the one-time digital media darling that has seen its value and influence greatly diminish in recent years, moved on Thursday to further hollow out its once prestigious news division, shutting down several shows and laying off dozens of staffers.

CNN article. Garbage-tier fake news.

"To be clear, Vice News is not going away," the company's co-chief executives, Bruce Dixon and Hozefa Lokhandwala, said in a memo to staff obtained by CNN.

...

In April, Vice Media ended "Vice News Tonight," its flagship program, citing restructuring that would result in cuts across the organization...

A person familiar with the matter said "less than 100" staffers would be laid off.

I love The Patriarchy.

A "vigilante" gunman opened fire on a mugger snatching someone's purse, so of course New York City has mounted a manhunt to catch this dangerous criminal.

The "vigilante" who stopped the mugger, I mean.

Cops are searching for the vigilante gunman who allegedly fired off shots while trying to stop a vagrant from robbing a woman at the Times Square station -- as officials warned Wednesday that ongoing subway violence "will not be tolerated."

No, you tolerate a huge amount of subway violence. It's this "vigilante" who does not tolerate subway violence.

The would-be mugger, identified as Matthew Roesch, 49, was charged with attempted robbery for trying to "forcibly" snatch the 40-year-old victim's belongings at the 49th Street N, R and W station around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

And he'll be out of jail within hours.

The unidentified bystander stepped in -- and allegedly opened fire toward the homeless man, according to cops.

No one was struck.

"I've looked at the video and it is unusual. The shooter looks very calm, pulls out a gun, fires two shots and calmly puts the gun back in a bag and walks away," Rich Davey, the chief of the MTA's subway and city bus systems, said of the incident at a Wednesday news conference.

"That's not what we need. Weapons shouldn't be on the streets of New York but they are," he continued.

"We don't tolerate this in New York City transit, period," Davey said. "This kind of misbehavior will not be tolerated."

Homeless lunatics are of course free to continue pushing 60 year old Asian women into the paths of oncoming trains, as usual.

Incidentally, this dangerous "vigilante" gave a warning to the homeless thief to get his hands off the woman before firing what may well have been warning shots.

The vigilante arrested for opening fire during a robbery attempt in a Manhattan subway station yelled "Get away from her!" at the would-be mugger -- just before he pulled a pistol from his backpack and sent a couple rounds flying down the platform, sources said Thursday.

Cops found John Rote, 43, of Astoria, Queens, sitting at his work desk at about 2 p.m. Wednesday at Panavision, a company on Varick Street that rents camera and filmmaking equipment, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

Officers collared him without a struggle and brought him back to the precinct, where Rote allegedly admitted that he pulled the trigger, then tossed the gun in the East River, the sources said.

Witnesses and police said the alleged mugger -- Matthew Roesch, a homeless 49-year-old -- held the emergency gate open for his 40-year-old victim at the 49th Street station near Times Square at about 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, then demanded money from her.

When she tried to walk through, he blocked her way and demanded money, according to court documents.

"If you don't give me a dollar, I'm going to take your purse," Roesch said, according to police.

She refused, and Roesch began screaming at her, the complaint said.

Cops said Rote warned the panhandler to leave the woman alone -- and witnesses told officers that he then whipped out a gun and yelled "Get away from her!," sources said.

Who do you imagine will spend more time in jail -- the deranged scumbag mugger, or the hero who saved the woman?

Rote -- who has no criminal history and has never been described as in need of mental help -- was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment and menacing for the caught-on-camera shooting, the NYPD said.

As several commenters wrote yesterday, the man who murdered the 65-year-old Jewish man in Ventura County, California is an openly pro-Hamas "professor" who will probably not spend a day in jail for murder because we must think about his precious "career."

Should we talk about the link between extremist leftwing rhetoric and murder? Like the media claiming that Kyle Rittenhouse was a "white supremacist," which then set off a black racist to drive his car over 50+ people in a Christmas parade? Killing six, including children, and maiming other children?

Nah, let's not talk about that.

But let's talk about LibsofTikTok spurring some to call in "threats" to child mutilation clinics.

Actual leftwing violence is just something we have to tolerate.

But "threats" from the right? No, we cannot allow those. We must stop anyone from speaking if their speech arguably causes some "threats."
