Quickies

The FBI raided the home of NYC mayor Eric Adams' top fundraiser, sending helicopters to provide overwatch and boarding the house up after the search, on suspicion that that fundraiser took illegal donations from Turkey on behalf of Adams.

The home of a top fundraiser for New York City Mayor Eric Adams was raided by the feds early Thursday morning as part of an investigation over an alleged kickback scheme involving the Turkish government and a Brooklyn construction company.

Federal agents burst into the Brooklyn home of Brianna Suggs, a campaign consultant and lobbyist -- just as Adams abruptly bailed on a slate of White House immigration meetings to fly back to the Big Apple almost as soon as he had landed in Washington DC, The Post confirmed.

The raid was connected to a broader public corruption probe by the feds looking into whether money was illegally funneled to Adams' 2021 mayoral campaign via a Williamsburg-based construction company -- and was purposely conducted while the mayor was out of town, law enforcement sources said.

Investigators specifically sought evidence of whether Adams' campaign conspired with the Turkish government and the construction company to move foreign cash into his campaign accounts by using straw donors, the sources said.

A straw donor is a person or company who illegally makes a donation with someone else's money -- but using their own name.

Eric Adams has repeatedly boasted of his close ties to Turkey, and bragged of visiting Turkey more than any other NYC mayor.

One doesn't really think of "Turkey" as being a key trading partner of New York City, but apparently the mayor just really liked his palz in that Islamist country.

Hizzoner crowed just last week that no other New York City mayor has visited the country as frequently as he has.

Probably not the best time to be bragging about this, dude.

"I'm probably the only mayor in the history of this city that has not only visited Turkey once, but I think I'm on my sixth or seventh visit to Turkey," Adams gloated to the crowd at a flag-raising ceremony in Lower Manhattan last Friday ahead of Turkey's 100-year anniversary as a republic.

His 2021 mayoral campaign is now embroiled in an FBI probe into a possible kickback scheme involving a Brooklyn construction company and the Turkish government.

In addition to eyeing the Williamsburg-based KSK Construction Group over its ties to Turkey and potential illegal straw donors to Adams' campaign, the FBI also is reportedly looking into the Bay Atlantic University -- a tiny Turkish-owned institution in Washington DC, that also has ties to Adams.

I don't like prejudging a case but GUILTY.

PS, FBI, while I've got you here surveilling my speech, if you think this sordid tale of taking bribes from foreign countries and then money-laundering them is juicy, I've got a tip for you -- look into a man named (do you have a pencil?) "Hunter Biden."

The Biden White House admits that Our Partners in Peace (TM) in Iran are "facilitating" attacks on our troops.

The Biden administration said on Monday that it is certain that Iran has been "facilitating attacks" against U.S. military personnel and bases around the Middle East.

During a regular press briefing, National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said that over the past week, there has been "an uptick in rocket and drone attacks by Iranian-backed proxy groups against military bases housing U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria."

He also said that the White House is "concerned about the potential for any significant escalation of these attacks in the days ahead."

The spokesman and retired U.S. Navy admiral also confirmed that while the Iranian military is behind the attacks, the government in Tehran seeks to "maintain some level of deniability."

"Now that we are aware, the [Islamic Revolutionary Guard] and their regime support these groups. We know Iran continues to support Hamas and Hezbollah. And we know that Iran is closely monitoring these events and, in some cases, actively facilitating these attacks and spurring on others who may want to exploit the conflict for their own good or for that of Iran," Kirby said.

When asked what the Iranians are doing to "actively" encourage the attacks, Kirby responded that "their support for these Iran-backed proxies is no secret."

The Biden White House has announced no changes to its position on Iran's nuclear program or US payments to that terrorist country.

Axios: Democrats quietly campaign to replace Biden when he drops out in 2024.

Democratic governors and senators are quietly moving to boost their national profiles and position themselves to run for president in 2028 -- or in 2024, if President Biden unexpectedly drops out.

Why it matters: The ambitious, next-generation Democrats all support Biden's re-election -- but they're drawing battle lines for the next race for the White House.

The early jockeying is also a hedge against Biden, 80, having a health scare or deciding not to run for re-election before the Democratic National Convention next August, several high-ranking Democratic officials tell Axios.

What we're watching: In recent months, more than half a dozen Democratic lawmakers have established national political organizations, embarked on resume-building foreign trips, and visited states that traditionally hold early presidential primaries.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and California Rep. Ro Khanna have traveled to New Hampshire in recent months -- and Khanna returned this week to debate GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker -- who ran for president in 2020 -- already has $10 million cash on hand for a 2026 Senate re-election bid that he could transfer to a 2024 presidential campaign.

Booker will headline a panel in South Carolina on health care and abortion rights on Nov. 18, and is involved in the Charleston mayoral race, in which his former aide Clay Middleton is a candidate.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Pritzker all recently launched national political groups -- "Fight Like Hell PAC," "Campaign for Democracy," and "Think Big America," respectively.

Newsom's group has focused on gun safety while Whitmer and Pritzker's groups have honed in on abortion rights.

...

The intrigue: Democrats' commitment to Biden hasn't stopped them from running just-in-case scenarios.

If Biden were to leave the race before the end of this year, there likely would be time for candidates to get on enough state ballots to determine the nomination.

But if he were to exit after Jan. 1, the nomination fight more likely would go to the Democrats' convention in Chicago because candidates wouldn't be able to get on the ballot in enough states, according to a recent analysis by the Brookings Institution's Elaine Kamarck, who has been on the DNC's Rules Committee since 1997.

In that case, Biden likely would have some delegates and could ask them to support a candidate -- but the delegates would be free to support who they want.

...

Flashback: While rare, there is precedent for a president abruptly deciding not to run for re-election.

On March 31, 1968, President Lyndon Johnson withdrew from the 1968 race as the Vietnam War consumed his presidency.

So Democrats will be able to pick whoever they want at the convention if Biden drops out after January 1.

Which would be how he does it. We'll nominate a guy stuck at 40% even against the most unpopular president in the 20th century, and they'll change the game by nominating a shiny new candidate.

And we won't be able to do a damn thing about it, except insist that the polls are rigged.

Are jihadis planning to disrupt Britain's Remembrance Day (our Veterans' Day)?

Metropolitan Police @metpoliceuk 7h We're aware of media reporting and social media commentary suggesting next weekend's remembrance events could be disrupted by protest.

As we set out in the update below, we will do everything in our power to ensure this does not happen.

UK Hamas supporters are now planning a "million man march" on Remembrance Day. They plan to defame our war-dead and desecrate the Cenotaph itself. This is the tipping point. If such a march goes ahead then the people of Britain must come out and stop these barbarians.

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser lashed out at one of DC's awful Social Justice judges for letting a seven-time carjacking team go home.

Carjacking is a dangerous crime-- it's a crime of violence. Force or the threat or force is used to compel people to abandon their cars.

And this "teen" has done this seven times.

But she gets to go home.

Oh, by the way, after the seventh carjacking, the "teen" crashed the car and killed her sister.

The unidentified minor was sent home pending her trial on robbery charges and days later was involved with a group of girls that carjacked a ride-share driver on Thursday. The teen's half-sister died in a crash after the carjacking, NBC Washington reported.

To be honest, Bowser's quote doesn't sound like she's "lashing out" at the judge. It sounds like she's making excuses for him:

"In my opinion, you've been arrested for the seventh time for carjacking, [secure detention] is where you belong," Bowser reportedly told reporters. "Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services does not make that decision. Judges do, and it's the judge's right to say I prefer shelter. And if I can't get a shelter, then I'm going to send the child home. The child was sent home. The child is now not [with] us."

"The child." And she keeps insisting the judge had this right. How is this "lashing out"?

A couple of weeks ago this Noted Criminologist noticed that maybe criminals were taking advantage of DC's ludicrous addiction to mask-wearing.

So she wants to make it a crime for criminals to wear masks. Oh, they'll still be allowed, and even encouraged, to wear masks, for Public Safety.

But if we catch them wearing a mask during the commission of a crime, and we can identify them, then oh boy, then you'll see. We'll give 'em a ticket for that.

Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser introduced legislation targeting rising crime in the district that includes installing a ban on criminals wearing face masks while committing a crime.

Bowser and Metropolitan acting Police Chief Pamela Smith announced the Addressing Crime Trends Now Act during a press conference on Monday. The act will "address recent crime trends" and give law enforcement more tools to hold criminals accountable. Bowser said several of the changes are "just plain common sense."

"We need to act now, and we need to send the strong message that violence is not acceptable in our city -- and this perception that people have, that you can commit a brazen crime and get away with it, has got to stop," Bowser said. "This legislation will help change that."

"You should be proud in your city that we give people one chance, two chances, three chances, but your chances can affect my safety, and that's what we're here to talk about," Bowser added.

The legislation comes at a time when crime is rising in Washington but going down in other big cities as the district struggles to shake off the wave that rose with the COVID-19 pandemic. A series of criminal justice reforms aimed at reducing discrimination in recent years has come under fire for going too far and allowing criminals to avoid arrest and jail time.

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the city terminated a law that made it illegal to wear a mask for the purpose of committing criminal acts, intimidating people, or causing fear. However, the ACT Now Act will reinstate the law.

They literally repealed the law making it a crime to wear a mask while committing a crime, because they wanted the criminals to be safe from covid while robbing and raping people.

Outstanding. Outstanding.

Remember that Virginia Democrat running for the House of Delegates who took money to let people watch her masturbate and pee on Chaturbate...?

Okay, so now that you're remembering her, keep in mind that this is a completely different female Virginia Democrat running for the House of Delegates.

She posted a video of herself pissing. For Social Justice!

Instead of using the public toilets while out running at Freedom Park in Williamsburg, Anderson merely left the trail, and, as we used to say, "dropped trou." Not only was she not concerned about being seen by others, including children, but she recorded and narrated the entire thing.

Be sure to turn up the sound so you can appreciate it in its full glory.

Anyone who spends time running or hiking is going to relieve themselves outdoors from time to time, but we don't film it, because we're not sexually-deranged attention-whoring Wine O'Clock Wendys.

No bail and no jail for carjackers -- until a woke Soros DA pushing the no-bail/no-jail agenda gets carjacked.

Then, and only then, is it time to slap them with bail and jail.
