The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

The number of civilian casualties in Gaza is staggering. The limited aid flow is a mere trickle of the growing needs. Without urgent, unrestricted access at scale, tragedy will continue unfolding before our eyes," World Health Organization head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus

Quote II

“The people of Palestine will not allow a single homosexual in our land,” such perversion brings the wrath of Allah” A Palestinian scholar from the Al-Aqsa Mosque

Old fashioned customer service. What is it?

An AI smoothie shop opened in San Francisco with much hype. Why is it closed already?

An AI smoothie shop opened in San Francisco with much hype. Why is it closed already?
BetterBlends promised to invest in the city’s beleaguered downtown but closed its doors in under two months

In September, a “bespoke AI nutrition” store opened in beleaguered downtown San Francisco to much fanfare, promising smoothie concoctions generated by AI and a much-needed boost to the area. Less than two months later, it has seemingly closed without explanation.

BetterBlends advertised “Your Smoothie, powered by AI” and received positive press upon its opening, ginning up excitement for a new business and a novel use of artificial intelligence. Its AI model would take customer orders and preferences to generate a smoothie recipe that would then be blended by hand by co-founders Michael Parlato and Clayton Reynolds, who worked in the shop.

Moose have a reputation for not necessarily being the brightest animals on the planet. Or possessing much dexterity. It’s actually quite the opposite on both characteristics.

Is there a point you are too old to Trick or Treat? If there is, is it up to participants or the law to determine that?

No candy for you. Some towns ban older kids from trick-or-treating on Halloween

Adults sometimes grumble about Halloween — the annual festival that brings hordes of kids to front doors, decked out in cute costumes and dreaming of handfuls of candy.

But when are kids too old to go trick-or-treating? In some U.S. towns, it's illegal for teenagers (and of course, adults) to indulge in the sweetest part of Halloween. That's not to say there's a consensus: even the towns that impose age limits don't agree on the "proper" age for trick or treaters.

I've been on the road and needed some filler material. So here you go! Yes indeedy, I'm a giver.

A self-proclaimed 'hot' mum has spent more than £500 on sexy Halloween outfits.

Cherry Bloom refuses to let her age or parenthood get in the way of her festive celebrations. She loves any excuse to flaunt her figure too!

The 41-year-old, from Scotland, feels empowered by showing off her figure. So it comes as no surprise that she's going out for spooky season – and there's nothing scary about her costumes.

I wonder if she paid to have that story published.

Once again, The ONT Is Always Looking Out For YouTM

11 Common Survival Mistakes That Can Get You Killed
These simple mistakes can lead to catastrophic scenarios. Here’s how to avoid them

We all make mistakes. It’s only human. But what happens when our mistakes are combined with treacherous conditions in the outdoors? What happens when our blunders combine into a series of unfortunate events? Here we’ll look at the conditions and thought processes that get people into trouble, and the simple mistakes that could turn a small mishap into a life threatening situation.

1. Going Alone
Maybe no one was free on the afternoon you wanted to hike or scout that new hunting location. Maybe you just wanted some peace and quiet. There are numerous reasons that people go into the wilderness alone, but are these reasons worth your life? Each time you head out into the backcountry alone, you expose yourself to additional risk. Without a buddy, there’s no one to go for help if you become immobilized. Without a partner, predators will take more interest in you. Without a friend, you may not get a tourniquet on fast enough. Before you head out alone, take a moment to reconsider.

Do physical locations and structures creep you out? If they do, stay away from these spots.

9 Creepiest Places You Should Probably Never Visit
From an abandoned asylum to a church adorned with human skulls, these sites are not for the faint of heart

Images of candlelit jack-o-lanterns, scarecrows, and witches riding brooms may be equated with Halloween, but around the globe there are locales with even spookier decor. Though popular attractions, these creepy places have the benefit of being rooted in history with layers of culture, which means they’ve been well preserved over time. This is not your average haunted house night where thrill-seekers enjoy a few giggles and gasps in the dark. Instead, these are places packed with bones, scrawny cats, and the paranormal.

From frightening sculptures to dolls everywhere you look (even hanging in trees!), here are 10 places that might give you nightmares for weeks should you dare to visit. Consider peeking at the photos or watching Shawshank Redemption—one of the places served as a filming spot for the movie's prison scenes—instead. Your mind will thank you for not cycling into full-blown hysteria by stepping foot into these spots.

Printing skills? Above average. There is one small problem, Genius Award Winner.

ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — A 23-year-old is facing several charges after he used a detailed note to rob a Florida CVS pharmacy of various drugs.

According to the Orlando Police Department, officers were called to a CVS on Curry Ford Road around 6 p.m. on Oct. 20 for reports of a robbery.

Pharmacy employees told police the suspect, identified as Thomas Mues, 23, handed them a note indicating he had a gun and “would shoot then if he was not provided the pills listed.”
