[I saw this a few weeks ago. We live in the most beautiful country on earth.]

Let there be no more war or bloodshed between Arabs and Israelis. Let there be no more suffering or denial of rights. let there be no more despair or loss of faith.
-- Anwar al-Sadat (They killed him for it)

This day, the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I shall slay you, and take off your head, and I shall give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines this day, to the fowl of the air and to the beasts of the earth, and all the earth shall know that Israel has a God.

And all this assembly shall know that not with sword and javelin does the Lord save, for the battle is the Lord's, and He will deliver you into our hand."

And it was, when the Philistine arose and drew closer to David, that David hastened and ran to the battle array, toward the Philistine.

And David stretched his hand into the bag, and took a stone therefrom, and slung it, and he hit the Philistine in his forehead, and the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.

And David overpowered the Philistine with the slingshot and with the stone, and he smote the Philistine and slew him: and no sword was in David's hand.

And David ran and stood up to the Philistine, and he took his sword and drew it from its sheath, and slew him, and with it, severed his head. And the Philistines saw that their hero had died, and they fled.

-- 1 Samuel 17

And if you want more...Joshua did some fine work.

I am second to none in my support of Israel, and its relationship to the West and America. I push for as tight a relationship as possible between the two countries because of their shared values.

But...I am also an American and a patriot, and I disagree with Representative Mast's gesture on the floor of the House of Representatives. He represents the people of his district, not Israel or the Israeli army, and he should not have worn a symbol of another country's military, no matter how close our countries are and how important the message of solidarity should be. When he stands on that floor, he is an American...nothing else.

GOP Rep Wears IDF Uniform to the Capitol: 'Tlaib's Got Her Flag, I've Got My Uniform'

A more dignified approach would be to push the House of Representatives to sanction Rancid Rashida Tlaib for her duel loyalty, which she unabashedly displays outside her office, signalling a loyalty to a foreign entity that has in its brief existence been responsible for the deaths of many Americans.

Yes, of course...get off my lawn! But there seems to be something missing in our youth, and that is the spirit of adventure. Sure, we all got into lots of trouble, and got spanked and grounded for our troubles. But we also learned resilience. I remember changing a tire in a snowstorm on the way to the Sierra, and not even considering calling someone to change the tire for me. Or simply fixing stuff! Does anyone younger than 35 know how to fix a leaky toilet or a dripping faucet or a blown outlet? I'm a lunatic, but I fix stuff in hotel rooms.

Okay...I'm not a luddite. I will cheerfully admit that on-line searches can be incredibly fast and useful. But...wandering into the card catalogs and simply poking around was a joy! Who knew what we would find?

Alaska bank robber who was busted counting cash outside tried scheme again -- and failed

This guy should run for congress...he is the perfect combination of stupidity and thievery.
