A Weekend Hobby Thread Mystery Click? WOW! Awesome!

***

Good afternoon and welcome to The Weekend Hobby Thread. Thanks for stopping by today. Feel free to chime in about the world of hobbies. And by all means: Please leave the politics and current events out in the driveway or better yet down the street.

Two hobbies and one spectacular award. Bird watching and photography, stunning shots.

Avian Awe: See the Stunning Bird Photographer of the Year Winners
Feathers, beaks and wings take center stage in photos that show the beauty (and comedy) of birds.

When The Fabulous isn't making me yummy sammiches she's off in her hobby world knitting, crocheting and lately embroidery. She asked, "Darlin', could you post a video about crocheting?" I said sure.......

Speaking of yarn and thread and fabric........

Not sure if this really fits the hobby thread, but maybe encouragement to try a hobby?

A drop spindle can be made from an old CD, and inexpensive roving can be found on Amazon. Tablet weaving only needs cards, a C-clamp, and a shuttle to make a band suitable for a guitar strap. There are directions, patterns, and videos available to demonstrate these.

This is a small loom (8 inches) that was inexpensive--this will be a bookmark (gr). There are ways to try out a craft without spending too much money, one can always move up! - Lirio100

My oldest daughter started off knitting. Now she is weaving her own yarn. One never knows where a hobby will take you. And by all means Barbara your email certainly belongs in The Weekend Hobby Thread.

I'm serious. If this lurker would like to kidnap me and put me to slave labor in his workshop, I'm OK with that. Holy Clampville...........

You can never be too rich, too thin, or have too many clamps.
Been meaning to build a clamp rack for years. Finally got around to it. Merged three different plans and best practices to make this using one full 8X4 sheet of 3/4 sanded plywood.- Lurker FormerHostage

Let's see if we can find one more video geared towards the hobbyist in all of us.........
This might be a cool thing to do with your kids or grand-kids***.

***A Grandparent at age 29 reveals you had other hobbies at an early age.

That wraps up today's Hobby Thread. If you have something hobby related, photos, stories, videos, feel free to contact us here. And if you have some 20/0 fan brushes, Jenkins Green acrylic paint you can send those along with your hobby submission to petmorons at gmail dot com. Until the next time, Keep On Hoybbying.
