The Morning Report — 8/22/23

haolehotfoot.jpg

Good morning, kids. I find it rather ironic that the Cultural Revolution has taken Stalin's airbrush and wiped out Queen's classic "Fat-Bottomed Girls" from the collective memory. One lyric in particular is rather appropriate:

Left alone with big fat Fanny, She was such a naughty nanny, Hey big woman, you made a bad boy out of me.

Instantly, the porcine, plump punim of a certain Fulton County DA popped into my head.

And then, I thought of the Blob Who Ate Bergen County, aka Chris Christie, aka "Krispy Kreosote" who Crybaby Kinzinger claims Donald Trump is deadly afraid of. Newsflash for this fool: everyone is afraid of Krispy, mostly of not being able to escape the gravitational field he generates by being a halitosis and lipid gas giant, and being sucked into his maw. But I digress.

Last week, I wrote an essay critical of stalwart legal eagle William Jacobson's views on Donald Trump and the situation he faces. Yesterday, Ace vented his spleen and spilled a lot of pixels against the former (and deposed) president. Ditto today my friend and friend of the blog Michael Walsh.

In many ways, if not most, I agree with them insofar as being critical of candidate Trump. To be fair, his outstanding policy victories and successes contrast sharply with some of his more boneheaded moves, especially with regard to his last year in office; in particular the Chinese COVID debacle and how Fauci and Birx bamboozled him and all or most of us into masking up, locking down and allowing the waffer-theen fig leaf of an illusion of election integrity to be totally snuffed out. And the rest as they say is history, which, lookie here! Seems ready to repeat itself.

If we are all in agreement, which I believe we are, that this upcoming election is going to be rigged out the wazoo to prevent any GOP nominee from winning, then why in God's name are we wasting our breath railing against Trump the candidate in an election that will be next to impossible for him to win – regardless if he is languishing in a prison cell or not? Should we not be spending our time and energy rallying around Trump the political martyr?

Granted, he himself doesn't make it easy when he engages in petty politics and personal attacks on Ron DeSantis and others as if he too thinks this is all just slightly more rough and tumble than mere business as usual. Considering everything that happened to him since he came down the escalator in 2015, and will continue to be inflicted on him and his family until the end of time, surely he has to see that America as founded or at least as it operated at the bare minimum of how it was intended to operate has been snuffed out. Infuriating and frustrating to say the least.

So now, he's going to surrender to this Aunt Fanny fascist in Georgia and allow himself to be debased with mugshots as well as be muzzled, lest his bail be revoked and he gets chucked in a prison cell.

This is just regular party politics? This is business as usual? Meh, maybe the focus shouldn't be on what Trump should or should not do given these circumstances. Maybe we should start thinking about what it is that we should be doing. Because soon enough, we'll be looking back at the situation as it stands today as "the good old days."

I honestly don't think I've ever felt more helpless about things in my life. God forbid we get to the stage of feeling hopeless.

* * * * *

And yesterday, Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants finally shows up in Maui and gives himself a hotfoot. The death toll here is going to possibly top 1,000 people and he's joking around? It's an horrendous tragedy, which is getting either zero press or otherwise is being blamed on "climate change" if not "haoli-supremacy." The stark truth is that every tragedy or catastrophe that has befallen the United States, it is the Democrats and Leftists that either caused it or exacerbated it.Yet, it's the people who have voted for this, time and time again, that in this case are suffering grievously. Along with the rest of us.

One day if they do wake up and try to vote their way out of it, they'll get a cold slap in the face when what happened on election night 2020 happens to them.
