Welcome to the City of Goodhue, Minnesota, a "community" city
I've spent some time in the land of Mud Ducks Minnesota. However, I have never spent any time in the city of Goodhue, MN.
It doesn't look like any police officers will be spending any time there either.
Goodhue, Minnesota, a small city in the southeastern part of the state, lost its entire police force after the chief and other members of the department handed in their resignation.
"I think we're all a little bit blindsided by it, but we're resilient, and we're going to move forward," Goodhue Mayor Ellen Anderson Buck told Fox 9.
"I want to reiterate that we will have police coverage in the city of Goodhue," Buck said. "That is not an issue."
How does an entire police force including the chief resign and you are "blindsided"? Per the 2020 census the city had a population of 1,243. Talk about not knowing the pulse of your community.
Oh the city will have law enforcement. Some Goodhue County cop will roll through about three times per day unless there is some special bakery shop in town.
